Some of you need to look at the big picture...we are winning in women's softball and gymnastics. Who cares about Men's sports anymore...get with the program.

Big congratulations with condolences to our Florida Gator baseball players … very young men who tried their hardest
but collectively did not do their very best. And doing the very best is what wins it all. Baseball is the one sport where one
hot-on talent can (Va's pitcher) can thwart, not the HC but the team of 9 more talented guys - one on one.

Now this 2015 team was too young. We forget how many Fr & Sophs were slamming that ball and playing great defense.
Alonso was just reaching his natural batting form, healing from a back injury.
The guys who'll be back :
Freshmen Faedo, RHP, Dalton Guthrie (Fr), JJ Schwartz (Fr-slugger), Rivera (Fr-C), J. Vasquez (Fr-OF)
A.J. Puk P (So), Buddy Reed (So), Logan Shore RHP (So)
Maybe Jr Harrison Bader returns for his senior season ?

Don't you think that stacked team that went so far will attract some more top-notched players ?
We only need a Sandy Koufax.

302 Division 1 college baseball teams. Comes down to Virginia, Vanderbilt, and Gators. Pretty darn good.

Agreed. It sucks losing, but overall it was a pretty good season. Don't think we should give up on Sully yet. It's possible we may have better teams over the next few years.

It's a simple question, really. Who are you going to hire that will assure a trip to the CWS every year, winning it at least half the time? Because that is what it will take to satisfy many here. Just look at the Billy bashers as evidence. Since you seem to be so cocksure of what it takes to win you surely have a list of candidates lined up. Let's hear your list and reasons as to why you think they will guarantee success.

I never once said to replace the baseball coach. Not once.

Sounds like the perfect time for you to find another university to root for

UF finished 2nd in the East to eventual National champion or Nation runner up, win the SEC tourney, go to the college world series and lose a heart breaker to either the National Champion or runner up...yeah lets fire the coach for such an awful season

Some of you have to be trolling. We have a baseball program that went to 5 CWS in our entire history. Sully almost doubles that in just 8 years, wins a few conference and conference tourney titles and people want to run him off?

Time for you to get some new material. Not everyone is saying replace the baseball coach. Feel free to read more and post less.

Nice attempt at dodging the question, but your history precedes you. Why else would you have written a sarcastic post in essence suggesting those who question the notion of firing the baseball coach because he didn't win the CWS means they don't care about men's sports?

So, who would you hire and why?

Huh? I say keep him. I think his record speaks for itself. This year was a year early because of our youth. You are making blanket assumptions. Sully, IMHO, has done a great job.

So, you want to keep Sully but insinuate that the rest of us that echo that sentiment don't care about men's sports anymore.

How many times in the history of college sports has the coach been fired for being this close? I don't care much about baseball but the guy's doing a hell of a job.
