According to PFF Conliffe played 2 defensive snaps and Slaton played 0 (none).

Sounds like "in house" discipline or injuries....

My guess is it's effort in practice related most likely. This seems especially likely with Slaton who was very bold in his predictions of breaking Alex Brown's sack record coming into the season but his playing time and placement on the depth chart has been dropping steadily since the season began and the intensity of expectations from the coaches and the team in general have been rapidly rising. If so I sure hope they soon eat some humble pie and start exhibiting some relentless effort because they both have serious upside especially Slaton who could be awesome if he figures it out!

How about that McWilliams! He's got All American written all over him.
Yeah, I dont know who is giving out those grades but the are full of shyt.

The fact that the other OCs immediately throw at him the second he is on the field says it all.

I think Slaton was out of pads last week.

Maybe I'm just a boring ole fart but I get a big kick out of watching Jawaan Taylor manhandle, pancake or wall-off opposing players.

Did have the clutch tackle to set up the missed FG - was the beginning of the shift in momentum.

Exactly. Me and my buds were saying the same thing during the beginning of the LSU game. They hit that first big play against him and just kept going right at him. Finally they take him out (no doubt heard us screaming from the stands to do it) but when he comes back in later because his replacement went out with an injury the next play was right at him.

Kid is not good.

If it was weed, it was just Slaton...because Conliffe played 2 snaps.

Think about this: Ancrum is getting more PT than Conliffe and Slaton. Wow! Those two were the starters for the first two games. I get it they got passed by Campbell and Clark, but figured they'd get their fair share of snaps per game.
