Florida has indefinitely suspended starting running back Jordan Scarlett and wide receiver Rick Wells, the school announced Wednesday. Their suspension is related to the suspensions of seven other players, including star wide receiver Antonio Callaway, for making improper charges on their student IDs at the school bookstore and then selling those items for cash, school officials told ESPN.

Scarlett, who practiced on Tuesday, and Wells are suspended from all team activities and will not travel this weekend for the 17th-ranked Gators matchup with No. 11 Michigan on Sept. 2 (3:30 p.m. ET on ABC) at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Florida has now suspended 10 players for at least the season opener. Freshman wide receiver James Robinson was also suspended after he was cited for marijuana possession earlier this month.

FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Spurrier had it right. You start the season with a cupcake. Better yet, two. That way everybody is off suspension before the Vols in game three.

No more of these big preseason games.

Our schedule is hard enough, thank you.

Where is New Mexico State and Northern Illinois, Louisiana Tech and UAB?

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alex.
Sound like an excuse. How about the players stay out of trouble?

have to agree with omar on this. this is beyond ridiculous. other big schools schedule marquee matchups year and year out and have no issues.

Yep, I think taking this game shows a lack of understanding of UF and UF's football program. I was quite surprised when UF took it.

Maybe they have put off the skipping class suspension until game two, but if not, there are likely unannounced suspensions too.
