What in the hell does "posterized" mean?

The Georgia-Florida rivalry runs deep with long memories.

So it was no surprise when Danny Wuerffel’s car was recently posterized, and a police officer with UGA ties all but looked the other way.

by the way…the posit notes had good comments about Danny….it was a birthday gift to a great neighbor and great guy….No. 7. https://t.co/aj9MNPFeGo

Weurffel’s history with Georgia dates most notably to the “half a hundred” game, as Steve Spurrier called it. With Jacksonville Memorial Stadium under construction in the mid-1990s, the Florida-Georgia game was moved to each campus in 1994 and 1995. In the 1995 game, Weurffel passed for 242 yards and five touchdowns before leaving the game in the third quarter. Backup quarterback Eric Kresser tacked on more TDs, including one with 1:21 remaining, to make the final score 52–17.

The 1996 Heisman Trophy from Florida winner now works as executive director for Desire Street Ministries, a nonprofit, faith-based organization in New Orleans.

I'd never heard of it, but the article indicates it means covering the car with messages on post-it notes. The article also says it was done in good humor & with lots of positive notes. Looks like a contemporary version of papering a house or something.

Thanks for sharing this.

At the bottom of the article it casually mentions that they slashed his tires as well.

I think I have a bigger problem with a Heisman trophy winner and Gator Legend driving a Nissan.

Because Danny is supposed to be super wealthy from his short stint in the NFL? You do realize he spends almost all his time doing community work which I'm sure doesn't bring in a super high salary.

Danny quietly goes about his life helping those in need. Possibly the best person to ever wear the Orange and Blue.

To think, a person or persons spent all that time doing that. I've never seen that level of pathetic before. Do they have a life?

In college, me and my roommates had one roommate we didn't care much for. He was a MICH fan, so when they lost at home to FSU 51-31 in '91, we bought up all the Nole stickie notes we could find and plastered his car, inside and out. He awoke the next morning to a completely posterized car to celebrate the loss and promptly drove to a car wash on his way to work. He picked off all the interior ones while the exterior got washed clean.

A week later he got rear ended and had to go into the trunk where the gas had a collision auto-shutoff that needed to be reset. That's when he found the rest of the stickies.

You bought Nole stickie notes? :fear:

I'll clarify, as I misspoke. All 3 roommates besides myself worked for Publix (including our MICH fan). So they 'liberated' the stickies from work. No money was spent in any way that could be thought to support Noles. I apologize for wording it wrong.

Yeah, because nothing says "man of compassion" like a Cadillac or Shelby Cobra, amiright?
