Driskel Transferring to Duke?

Bob Redman said that UF has given Driskel permission to look at other schools. Thomas Goldkamp followed that up by saying that Driskel leaving has been a not very well kept secret around the team. Wish him luck, but I am excited to move on.

It is pretty amazing that both Driskel, and Brisset didnt work out and will finish their careers elsewhere if Driskel does end up transferring. In 2010 the future was looking pretty bright.

Doubt it. Pushing a senior out the door could alienate some of the team, and all coaches have huge egos. He probably thinks he could turn driskel into an all american.

Best of luck to him. It's a shame it didn't work out for him, but you gotta admit the kid was a trooper through all the injuries, coaches changes, poor OL play, etc..

Why not go to UF baseball this year and next? 2 years to work on a MLB career, which has to be better odds than NFL.

Has there been a UF player who's been more impacted by head coach instability and/or ineffectiveness over the past four years than Jeff Driskel? This kid got handed a really bad hand.

Wish him the best. Definitely got dealt a bad hand, but I don't know if he ever had it in him mentally. I second what was said about baseball, that is where he should focus his efforts. IMHO.

Has there been a coaching staff more impacted by QB instability or ineffectiveness? The staff had problems but even two star Murphy and true freshman Treon operated the offense with much better efficiency.
