I wouldn't read much into any of these comments. It's pretty obvious the offensive philosophy has changed, but that alone doesn't guarantee that it will be executed well. And as far as muschamp's comments are concerned, he's demonstrated repeatedly that 99% of what comes out of his mouth is "coach speak", or in other words total bs.

I'm over this whole "progress" garbage. The learning curve is over. This is year four for god's sakes. Win and win big or go home. Geez, nothing but excuses for years for this guy.
You left out that Meyer was also responsible for the Kennedy assassination.

Agreed...Idaho may be a bit tougher simply it's the first full game and in a new offense. We used to have some downer opening games in the SOS years because you just aren't always clicking very well that early. But a better 2nd game and a don't take your foot off the gas mentality is what im really going to be looking for. If we put the offense away just because of a 2 TD lead or something then we know Muschamp is still being the same head coach. I think even if just to help the mentality of the team they need to be let loose and let them pound on somebody. This offense needs some confidence in the worst way...even if it's sort of false confidence.

Spurrier rolled all of his opening patsies scoring 50+ many times except for Southern Miss one year.

Look at the difference in Cupcake one and Cupcake two in the SOS period, offensive still better than competition, and then offense and defense functioning much better against the opponent.

1994: New Mexico State 70-21 Kentucky 73-7
1995: Houston 45-21 Kentucky 42-7
1996: Lousianna-Laf 55-21 Georgia Southern 62-14
1997: Southern Miss 21-6 Central Michigan 82-6
1998: Citadel 49-10 Louisanna-Monroe 42-10
1999: Western Mich 55-26 UCF 58-27
2000: Ball State 40-19 Middle Tennesse State 55-0
2001: Marshall 49-19 Louisanna-Monroe 55-6

That is a ridiculous argument. That Peterson took him back with that late notice tells you he respects him and Peterson would name him OC I bet again if his current one leaves.

Whatever you say Mrs. Pease.

“I’m ready to light up the scoreboard for a change,” he said Monday at SEC Media Days. “I don’t let fans get to me. I don’t want to play well because fans are down on me. I want to play well because that’s what I was recruited to Florida to do, to be a great quarterback.
“I plan to show everyone that’s what I am.”

I hope Driskel gets it going....

Point to where I was defending Muschamp? I blame both for the horrible 2013 season.

I blame both but he was given his marching orders on the offensive philosophy when he got here and a lot of people seem to ignore that.

You still have no proof of that.

Well in the video introducing him he makes it clear the offensive philosophy will not be changing. The biggest thing he stressed when introducing Pease as the new OC. Its pretty obvious that he made it clear what he wanted in Spring and Camp etc. imo.

Philosophy could mean anything. Still doesn't show that Muschamp controlled the play calling.

I never claimed he called the actual plays. I think he just made it clear the type of offense he wanted with the TOP emphasis etc which led to very poor results although it did work against LSU and FSU in2012 with that jumbo package stuff - Muschamp must have loved that working .

Sure we do. Look at the offense rankings the last 3 years.
