WATCH: ESPN E:60 to feature Jared Lorenzen

Jared Lorenzen will be featured on ESPN Sunday.

Lorenzen’s football career and weight-loss journey will be the subject of a segment on the World Wide Leader’s E:60 documentary series E:60. ESPN has released a couple preview clips of the show, including one which reveals Lorenzen was up to 296 pounds at Kentucky, but Wildcats coaches didn’t care “as long as he could throw.”

Roughly a year ago, Lorenzen launched an online series “The Jared Lorenzen Project” which chronicled his weight-loss journey. He revealed that he avoided stepping on a scale for eight years after his NFL career ended in 2008 and learned he had gained more than 200 pounds. He shared an update earlier this year revealing he had already lost 100 pounds.

Clips from the E:60 episode can be seen below:

I'll always have a special place in my heart for his behind-the-back pass directly to Johnny Lamar late in the 4th.

I got the chance to meet Jared and hang out with him at a Conference in Lexington back in '16. Very super cool guy and very respectful to UF. He just enjoyed playing ball. Really down to earth guy and of course, he had his Super Bowl ring with him. Evident by some of the photos, he gained more weight since that time. Truly hope he gets his life on track. Really good guy.

Didn’t Crowder sling him around in a circle four times before getting the fat man on the ground?

He was definitely being slung around. Probably was Crowder.

I tried YouTubing it to confirm it was Lamar but couldn’t find the actual play. You forget how good Leak was as a Freshman. Unreal.

Was there for that game...3 quarters of awful followed by an awesome 4th. All happened right in our end zone

Imagine if they guy could have kept it under control (say 260). He was actually a pretty talented QB.
