Falling off Rocky Top: Tennessee players get into gruesome fight at practice

Things are going from bad to worse in Knoxville as the Tennessee Volunteers seem to be holding onto the edge of a cliff, trying not to completely fall off.


The latest example comes from practice on Thursday, when a fight broke out between offensive lineman Trey Smith and defensive end Darrell Taylor. While rumors of the fight were floating around, it wasn’t until Friday that the fight was confirmed.

Taylor’s behavior is concerning since he was ejected 2nd half of Georgia game for fighting and must miss the first half v. South Carolina.

Taylor did apologize to Smith, who won't miss any games. UT is not expected to appeal Taylor missing first half of next game, per source


Tennessee has a bye week before hosting South Carolina next Saturday.
