MIAMI — A Republican activist who donated more than $20,000 to Ron DeSantis and lined up a speech for him at President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club recently called President Barack Obama a “F---- MUSLIM N----” on Twitter, in addition to making other inflammatory remarks.

Steven M. Alembik told POLITICO on Wednesday he wrote the Obama tweet in anger, that he’s “absolutely not” a racist and that he understood that DeSantis’ campaign for governor would need to distance itself from the comments — which the campaign promptly did.
      New racial controversy batters DeSantis

I guess if this is the way the campaign keeps going it may be a blowout.

So a racist supporter trumps the actual corruption and ineptitude of socialist?

        Get real.

Polls: Cruz could lose Senate seat in Texas and the socialist leads in Florida Gov race

@stephenPE so other than Gilliam not being a "trump lap dog" and besides the fact that he's "the black guy," what policy is Gilliam proposing that garners your support?

19006EFD-C85D-48BA-B3EB-88F2EED379B4.jpeg I think I speak for the majority of the informed: no matter who wins, Florida loses.

Not here to pick a fight or get onto political ideology, but De Santis is too far aligned with the extreme right.

Meanwhile, Gillum is a socialist moron who will bankrupt the state. A few months ago, he ran an ad promising to “abolish ICE and impeach Trump” as GOVERNOR. Sorry bud, that’s federal jurisdiction, not state.

        Yikes!!!!

I guess I’ll vote DeSantis, but the socialists who love handouts will find Gilliam’s ads sexy. Unfortunately, I think he wins, so get used to tax hikes.

Also, DeSanits is gonna beyotch-slap Gillum in the debates, but no one watches them so it won’t matter.

I agree with everything in your post except this.

There is no actual debating Gilliam as the link to the Gilliam/Corcoran "debate" I posted earlier in this thread will attest.

Getting Gilliam to talk policy and address questions is like trying to tie a knot with a live snake.

Or possibly more accurately, exactly the way that the Mayberry Chairman of the Gilliam for Gov campaign - our very own @stephenPE - debates.

Extreme Right? Really? In todays politics JFK would be “right wing”

What is "Extreme" about De Santis? What is Extreme Right about Trump? True the Extreme Right will back Trump...What choice do they have?

BUT it's clear that Gillum can't Govern (see Tallahassee) and he IS FAR LEFT.

Looks like Gillum has this wrapped up. People who dont like him at all and think he is a socialist are going to vote for him. I might vote for him. Twice.

Why post on the political forum if there is no interest in political ideaology? Can you give an example of what disturbs you about the "extreme right?" Is it his opposition to gun control or to high taxes?

              Obviously.

That is a big red area that the Hurricane tore up. I hope it doesn't hurt the Reps. I guess it could if the races end up real close.
