At the very least he will provide quality depth. The way they shuffle OL to get the best available 5 on the field, he might wind up anywhere. But he's clearly a solid D1, upper tier talent. The coaches tend to talk about the number of guys they trust, and whatever that number will be in 2018 it just bumped up by one.

With regard to why he left Clempson... they've narrowed it down. Not legal or team rules violations, maybe losing his starting spot, maybe grades or some form of depression that affected them. So much of success is finding the right "fit" and I hope for his sake and the team's that this works for him.

Transfers are as iffy as any thing else. Not sure the guy who came from Nebraska a few years ago (Tyler Moore?) ever really found it. He played ok, but it wasn't great. Of course, lots else was dysfunctional so I'm not blaming him.

Glad to see Fruhmorgen make it. He's going to be a key piece to the OL next year:

Fruhmorgen is a Tampa, Fla. native that left Clemson after his sophomore season. He started nine games for the Tigers during his two seasons. The 6-foot-5, 290-pound prospect will have to sit out this season before being eligible to play for the Gators in 2018.

Zaire is a graduate-transfer from Notre Dame and will be eligible to play for the Gators this fall. The 6-foot, 225-pound signal caller will compete with Feleipe Franks for the starting job during fall camp.

Both are considered key pieces to the roster moving forward.
