FSU decides uniforms too ugly for human eyes, will change them mid-season

I was told by a couple of FSU alums that it was a Nike decision on that uniform change - $$$ involved of course.

And you may have noticed ... no little Tomahawks on the back of the helmets.

It's too bad they didn't wear red helmets, would have looked like some used tampons running around out there.

Instead of tomahawks on the helmets, they are going with these.

I think they spent the $60 K on Winston's disability premium. I still don't understand how that flies with the NCAA.

If that includes mental disability, that's probably a bargain.

While I understand the lure of Nike money, the complete change of their entire look immediately following their first successful year in more than a decade reeks of desperation. It's as if they know this is their chance to monopolize as much as possible before returning to mediocrity.

I've had this unfounded yet very strong feeling that they will not be good all summer. The first two games suggest that they are not the team they were last year. Only time will tell if they will grow and get better or fall on their faces, but I remain hopeful that they will be knocked down a peg or two.

I saw that a few days ago. Smart move because they look terrible. On a side note, on top of UF wearing Orange jerseys this weekend, I saw a tease that there's a "surprise uniform tweak" for later in the year. Not sure what it is.
