Plausible, if only it were solely from Samsung SDI batteries, and only when the phones were on charge. I can't imagine any tiny spikes causing this.

These phones burst into flames while they weren't charging, and also while not in use, as well as with non Samsung SDI batteries, as the replacements used batteries made by Amperex technologies limited, a company that supplies batteries for Apple products, including the iPhone.

I understood that they were fairly certain fires included the Samsung SDI batteries initially, so I don't think it's likely that all the fires could have been from the original 30% initial batch of Amperex batteries, which could explain the continued fires if that were the case, could maybe even explain the iPhone 7 fire, though as I understand it Apple may be using several outlets for their batteries, so difficult to tell at this point.

This is why I think there is something else causing the overheating that eventually causes the batteries to become unstable.

What component in the note 7 is different or changed in some way, than their previous phones, that would have any bearing on how much strain is put directly on the batteries? Probably should be where they start, or have already started looking.

Or, I suppose there could be a minor design flaw in the battery compartment inside the phone, one causing a puncture, potentially. Could you imagine if it was something as dumb as that?

I'm not talking about an electrical spike but an actual crystal spear/spike. Once the plate barrier is breached there would be a path of current flow through a resistive path which would cause heat maybe extreme heat or flame. Bacl my spikes, undue pressure on the battery could very well be the trigger.

I see. So you were really just looking out for the safety of your staff. Very noble. I should have realized.

Büllshît. You and Gren and PIF all use it the minute anyone has something to say about Apple than your opinion. It's quite embarrassing for yourselves to say the least.

He should be embarrassed. It's amazing how if you don't speak only the greatest of Apple and only the worst of everyone else, they lose their minds :lol2:

Sad that grown adults can't follow a thread, one that he started himself :bwahaha:

Most Apple Fanbois are liberal, tree hugging leftist transgenders.

So a third party teardown of the note 7 reveals that it's likley not the fault of the batteries themselves, but rather the cavity to which the battery sat in was simply too tight for the battery size they used.
This would explain why even the other batteries made by the same company that makes Apple batteries had the same problem.
They left only 0.1mm and 0.5mm space on the x and y axis and 0mm on the z axis, leaving the battery virtually no room to expand and contract and ultimately doing what I believe Gren alluded to earlier in the thread in regards to separators within the batteries themselves.

    http://www.androidauthority.com/galaxy-note-7-dangerous-battery-design-733889/

What does it mean? It means it's an easy fix as it's not actually the batteries at all, but it also means the designers were careless, or at least too risky, in their build of this phone. Their negligence caused this and they should be held accountable for such a dumb decision.

Hey Apple Boi, it was brought back to life by an Iphone 7 blowing up. But carry on starting threads in the Main Sports Forum.

Unlike you Apple fan boys, I actually respect what Apple is doing. It's smart and they are making boat loads of money doing it.

I see you didn't answer either one of my questions though
