Watched it ... boy, Gators were making fierce solid contact, rocketing it through the infield. It was gone before defenders could move. Hope they take that eye-tracking & instant reflexing into Sunday's game.

Gators take the rubber game 5-4 behind 2 run homers from Schwarz & Maldanado and great relief pitching from Michael Byrne, who picked up the win. Schedule stays brutal, though, with at game Tuesday night in Jax against FSU then a home series with Vanderbilt next weekend.

Great game to decide the series as Nelly tomahawks a 2-run homer to break a 3-3 tie and Byrne pitches 3+ for the win. The wind was howling out toward left field all day and I thought for sure it would take double digit runs to win today. Each team had one wind aided homer but Nelly's blast would have gone out on any day. Byrne did surrender his first run of the season in the 9th as they hit 4 balls really hard in the inning with back to back doubles, but he stayed strong and closed it out. ARK seemed to have 4 or 5 left handed batters that could all mash and I think they are a serious contender for Omaha if they get any consistent pitching. We are an overall better team b/c of our pitching, but these conference series are going to be very tough battles each weekend. Another toughie at the Mack next weekend as Vandy comes calling after our mid week game in Jax against the SUCKholes!!!
