Gators strike for 2 runs top 7th thanks to a couple of misjudged balls by UT, but that is why you keep swinging the bats. But Byrne allows one in the bottom 7th to tie it up. Extra innings here we go!

Tinerc gets a runner to 3rd base with 2 outs thanx to horrendous throw by JJ, but Byrne gets out of it. On to the 9th.

3 up 3 down, on to bottom 9th Jordan Butler on to pitch.

Tinerc leaves the bases loaded to end the 9th. A walk, a 2 out single, then a tough error on Indy loaded the bags, but butler gets a pop to SS to end it. On to 10

after 2 K's the Gators load the bases on 3 straight walks and then Liput goes 1st pitch swinging (after 3 straight walks) and pops out to short!.

Butler walks, Indy hit by pitch. Perfect sac bunt by Baker puts runners on 2nd and 3rd. JJ sac fly to deep right, Butler scores, Indy to 3rd base.Langworthy safe at first on slow chop, errant throw to 1B by the SS, Indy scores. 6-4 on to bottom 11th.

Butler hits the 1st UT batter. How is that possible after just taking a 2 run lead? I know Butler is a frosh, but seriously? These guys have all played a ton of baseball. Sully,pissed, Leftwich in pen, Butler still in tho. Butler K's the 9 hole hitter looking. top of the order Butler still in.

Soft blooper to SS gloved by Liput. good guys win. Played poorly but kept battling. Good job all in all by Butler. 6-4 Gators. Game 3 to begin in about 30 minutes. Lets kick them while they are down,!!!!!

That has to be a demoralizing loss. Amazing the difference in these two games. Baseball's weird like that.

Tennessee is not very good, but they swing the bat pretty well. They outplayed us in Game 1 and we were fortunate to pull out a win. Gators are tenacious and confident, even when not playing their best.

Dyson loads bases with 1 out in bottom 1st with a single and 2 walks, but escapes with no damage. 30 pitches tho and with a full bullpen I doubt Sully going to put up with a lot of walks in this game.

Well finally the pitching catches up. Dyson loads the bases in the bottom of the 3rd with 2 walks and a hit batter and then gives up a bases clearing double. not even 3 innings in, Dyson has 4 walks, 2 hit batters and 80 pitches. tinerc leads 4-1 and Dyson looks awful.

Another walk and Sully mercifully pulls the plug. 2 2/3 innings, 5 walks, 2 hit batters and 86 pitches. Leftwich in.

The 3rd inning is on O'Sullivan for sticking with Dyson too long. He's had trouble the last 3 weeks with too many walks, hit batters and too many pitches. He may need to go back to the bullpen and let Leftwich or Butler be the 3rd starter for awhile. And Brady Smith is NOT a catcher.

Gators lose finale 6-4, but actually hung around and had a chance in the 7th. After trailing 6-1 after 5 innings and Sully getting tossed, entered the 7th down 6-3 and ended with the bases loaded on a groundout. Overall did not play or pitch very well today, so fortunate to get a split, but that's baseball. Good to win the series. Scheduled to be in Tallacrappy Tuesday nite for a game against the , but would not mind a rain out b/c of how the weather played havoc with the weekend. Either way, just need to recharge for a home series next weekend against Mizzou.
