It's kind of hard to remember all the Chimps in the SEC East right now. I know it is somewhat confusing but you are WAAAAAY off.

Kirby Muschamp and Will Smart fight it out for time of possession in the James Brown border war.

It's a rivalry that goes back for years even back to the end of the 19th century. The game is being played at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia but Georgia has gotten the better of South Carolina over the years to the tune of 50 wins to 18 wins. I think Georgia will get the best of the Gamecocks again this year but what do I know? I'm on the last page of the Pick "Em standings.

A funny story is connected to this game.Georgia had a linebacker back in the 1960s (1960s ok I'm old) by the name of Robert E. "Happy" Dicks. Dicks was injured and could not play in the South Carolina game. Lewis Grizzard was a young journalist who was writing for the Athens paper. Somehow he managed to get the next morning's headline past the newspaper's editor who must have been drunk. "Dogs to Play Cocks with Dicks Out".

A sequel to the story is that Dr. Robert E. Dicks went on to become a neurosurgeon. It would have made a better story if Dr. Dicks had become a urologist. Then as he wrote prescriptions for Viagra the legend of Happy Dicks would have continued.
