I have one member of my family who paid the ultimate sacrifice, my grandfather on my dads side. He was in WW2 and suffered a terrible injury to his leg while parachuting out of a plane that was going down. He actually came home and lived a couple years and fathered my dad ( baby boomer). He died before my dad turned 2. The leg never healed right and always gave him problems, developed a clot and ultimately killed him. Always think of the grandparent I never met on Memorial Day. So honored and blessed to live in the greatest country on earth. Thanks to all the brave men and women who sacrifice so much for the freedom I enjoy and often take for granted. God Bless America.
