I saw this on ESPN and thought it was noteworthy.

SpeedFlex Helmet

Would you like to see UF using these?

Do you like the way they look?

Do you think they'd actually be safer?

...and from the article:
Technically speaking, Riddell hasn't launched it yet -- there have been no press releases, no promotional videos, no ad campaigns. But Riddell has quietly been making the SpeedFlex available to NFL teams and several top college football programs.

Have you seen anything about UF using these? If not, do you think we got offered? Would our Nike contract somehow play into this?

Let's talk about that. (GMM reference)

Riddell is smart. There's a lot of money to be made in a helmet that can decrease the odds of concussions.

Yeah, I agree. I would expect to see other companies looking to compete in this area.

I'd like to see the numbers on concussions and how much they were reduced from the last time they made the major modifications to the helmets. All I know is, from a player's perspective, those spacesuit looking helmets they wear now are WAY more comfortable than the old dome helmets.
