With the entire state of Florida being in Irma's cone, and all the officials talking evacuation, it boggles the mind to think about how the entire state will be able to evacuate. Travel north is the only option. Can you imagine what it will be like with hundreds of thousands of cars headed north on I75 and I95. And where will you go?

If you have a WinnDixie and are needing bottled water, Winn Dixie is restocking regularly . The Madison Florida store ran out this morning got a semi load from Jax at 5 pm and are getting another semi load in the morning. It looks like they are serious about stocking water.

I sincerely do not understand that whole bottled water craze.

Do people not understand that tap water/well water will suffice?

As I see it, the biggest issue for North Central FL from Irma is going to be the fact that in most places, the ground is already completely saturated from a plethora of rain fall throughout this summer. When the wind comes, and it won't take a whole lot, there is going to be a lot of trees doing down.

Not if it's not potable.

I understand that. But if a person's residence in not under a "boil water notice" then couldn't they fill up empty containers?
Sure, but that's IF it's safe to drink.

Let me clarify.

At the moment, no one has lost power. Wells are still running. City water is safe.

But people are nearly rioting waiting on a case of bottled water at the store. Is it not possible to fillup containers of clean water from the tap? At some point, convenience isn't practical, especially when supplies are limited.
