No offense to the kid but I saw him in a few games. Played like hot garbage, and Norte dame has more talent around him and plays a much weaker schedule than we have and play. This sounds like a typical butters transfer qb.

Interestingly enough, this kid has never thrown an interception in college. Granted, he's had an injury-plagued career......

Exactly. We've taken a vandy back up, a Oregon st back up, and a purdue back up. Now we're after a 4-8 Notre Dame 's back up. This staff has a gift.
They are touched, for sure.

Or one or both are leaving the program......
Trash had exacty one scholarship offer from a div 1 or 1aa school. He is going nowhere.

I think this Zaire kid is Josh Grady 2.0,just insurance or a receiver.

Not necessarily.
If we are looking for another grad transfer, it tells me they know what they have with LDR...nothing.
A grad transfer can add experienced depth, incase Franks falls flat, or buy more time for Franks if that grad transfer is just better right now.

That said, I'm not convinced this guy is any good, so I don't like the interest in him unless it's just for depth.
Kid has barely played, though does appear to be a duel threat type player.

Dude is running QB who has no clue how to read a defense. He's basically the same "one read" QB'S we've had around here for the last 6 yrs running. However...since we haven't had a QB finish a full season (since Tebow left) bringing him in can't hurt. I would much rather have Barnett or Stidham but neither are coming.

Mac must be planning to run Auburn's offense because that is all he could run.

He's definitely an upgrade over Del-Rio/AA but he isn't going to lead us to a championship. We need the depth so...why not! Bring him in and let's see what happens because Franks isn't starting next year so we don't have many options.

He'd be 100x better than anything we've had in the past 7 years........which isn't saying much

The more competition, the better. Guy is a really gifted athlete so I'd take a flyer as long as it isn't running off Stidham/Barnett, which I don't think it is.

I do not want an Appleby 2.0, with the one-and-done QB who hasn't done anything prior to coming here. Please, God, not another year with another backup QB. Year 3, Mac ought to have developed a starter by now. Hell, LDR will be in his 3rd year in Mac's system - and we've seen he can't get it done. No way another transfer steps in and is any better than AA.

The problem I have with this is muschamp obviously didn't recruit quarterbacks of value until 2014. McElwain appears to be recruiting quarterbacks 2 last cycle (one is a practice arm), 1 this cycle, and 1 next cycle. Why are we still getting grad transfers at a position that requires some consistency.
