The $999 iPhone X is designed for a future in which the world has been subject to global warming. Unfortunately, there has not been enough global warming and the phone freezes up at temperatures below 32 degrees. Apple is always ahead of its time and that is shown by their sophisticated design which factors in global warming.

Apparently the iPhone X also fails if the temperature is above 95 degrees.

But rumor has it that Apple is going to promote this as a feature not a bug and may raise the price of the phone accordingly. Apple's "Environmental Sentry" facility will shut the phone down if it and the user are in an area of unhealthy temperature. The user is then advised to move to a more favorable environment. No other phone manufacturer is offering anything like that. Instead, their excessive temperature operating ranges lull their owners into areas that are too cold or too hot for human health.

Apple is also fighting back against unfair criticism that the iPhone 8 and 8+ are prone to crack and break when dropped on hard surfaces from modest heights. Apple correctly points out that their phones are less prone to failure when dropped than a hen's egg and are equal in durability when dropped on hard surfaces to human skulls. Apple recommends use on carpeted or other padded surfaces.

I'd like to see the testing performed to make this statement.

I believe Apple is considering two options. One is to hire the same geniuses who developed global warming models to develop a simulator of a human skull being dropped onto a hard surface from a few feet. The other option (likely to be selected due to lower costs), will be to offer a reduced sentence to workers at Apple's China plants if the volunteer for the testing. They would be released from working for Apple if they survive the tests.

And now reports are coming out about people hacking the Apple face id security system, even accidentally by a 13 year old.

No official response yet from Apple but if they follow past practice in response to issues raised by their customers, they will insist that their systems are perfect and that the customers need to procure sufficient plastic surgery to make their faces more unique.
