It's not technically official until the university makes a public statement. I'm breathlessly awaiting that statement just like the rest of you, but it's not official "quite" yet.

According to ESPN he has not been fired yet – he has been asked to resign and take a smaller buyout Or they will try to terminate with cause. They’re all getting back together to continue discussing buyout this afternoon.

Only the morons at ESPN would present this as anything other than being fired. Either he is told to resign or is fired with cause. In both cases he is fired.
I think the agreement has been done for awhile and they are just completing the paperwork.

It makes me want to vomit thinking we will pay this failure millions to go away. Obviously the admin want to save face by not dragging this through court.

The fact he's moving so fast is a good sign. Hopefully this means he won't just go out and hire flash in the pan coaches either and that he's actually going to swing for the fences
