I put my headphones on and was able to listen but there were several volume adjustments thru out. Overall, I like listening to him and I really think the players are gonna want to play for him.

He seems to be so much better at organizational management than the other guy. He's running a football corporation, a football business, using intellect and strategy to build. The last guy had severe deficiencies in this area and he overcompensated for those deficiencies with over-the-top intensity and hostility. I think we'll be in the 8-4, 7-5 range again next year because of the o-line and LB situation, but beyond that, it looks promising. 9 wins would be outstanding and on par with Spurrier and Meyer's first years.

I can agree with this assessment. He sees the big picture and realizes he was dealt a shiddy hand by the way the team was left by dawgchamp. But is laying the foundation for a long term run at excellence. And yes, the Oline and LB situation will probably keep us from having a double digit winning season, 9 wins would be nice, but 8-4, 7-5 is very realistic.

He mentioned Morrison won't practice in the spring, which I had mentioned on an earlier thread, said he was still rehabbing.. the university never released a statement on the injury nor the surgery, I was told he had the knee operated on.

I love how when people ask stupid questions he tells a joke to make light of it. The last guy would get all red faced and spout some off the wall football technical jargon to make himself appear smarter than everybody else. It's a refreshing change.

LB will be key. If we can get surprise productivity there this defense might could keep us in most of the games giving us an outside chance at winning the East.

What a difference some experience makes... the past, insecurity, the future, confidence. Go Gators!

If he brings Spurrier & Meyer type results, I will be a very happy man.

I will be surprised to see more than six wins. We know the OL will be a disaster. I also expect a huge drop off on defense. The DC hire will kill us on that side of the ball.

I really wanted to argue the 6 wins with you, law....but looking at the schedule, I'm not seeing a strong case "at this point today" to find six or more. Maybe as we get better visibility to the team improvements and capabilities, we can start looking at teams we can beat. But today, before spring practices even start, I have to stfu and agree with you.

Im thinking 7-5 if things go well and we don't have too many injuries on the OL or LB

Wins: New Mexico State, ECU, Kentucky, tenn, Vandy, South Carolina, FAU

Loss: Ole Miss, LSU, Mizzou, uga, fsu

I'm leaning to 8 wins. @ LSU probably will be the most difficult. For some reason we never seem to play well against Missou regardless
of where the game is played. That said I don't see anyone blowing us out either. I see us having several close games in 15' , and Ole miss.
FSU and ga as toss ups.

I think it's fair to say 7 wins are doable.

5 or 6 if things go mediocre.

8 and up if things go well.

We never seem to beat teams from miss even when they are horrendous and mizzou for whatever reason has our number. They couldn't do **** against us last year and still blew us out of the water because of how horrible our offense and special teams were.

He is what you need as a head coach, not a defensive specialist. I especially liked the comments on a one team (all Gators) approach which should reduce or eliminate the cliques that we have thought to have in the past. I also saw him talk about an NFL type of oline process which is going to be essential with low numbers of experienced players. Extra coaches seems like another great idea to prevent last minute binds like we saw with Champ and give the other coaches help and perhaps more time on the field. New continual improvement process, not static like Champ might have been. Great at not answering stupid questions without the emotionalism that we saw in our previous HBC.
