It wouldn't be surprising if he ends up there. I just hope if he does the next coach for FSU isn't that good of a recruiter. Its getting old losing out on so many recruits from FL to them.

Without Winston, Fisher never would have won a damn thing at FSU. He couldn't even win the garbage ACC without Winston. He's recruited well and would continue to recruit well at LSU, but they are already recruiting well. In other words, Fisher going to LSU would help us on multiple levels.

This is Florida. damn it. Instead of blaming other coaches for our in-state recruiting woes, we need to hire people who represent our brand and have the drive and determination to get the job done ourselves. It is up to us.

Is that writer for real? He called it a downward move from FSU to LSU. He must be living in opposite-land.

Yeah, it's not even a lateral. Saban went from Michigan State to LSU because he wanted to be THE BIG DAWG in his own state, not settle for the recruiting table scraps that Michigan, ND and Ohio State didn't get. He was third or fourth in his own state. In LSU, he is unquestionably the top dog, no fighting with UF (LULZ, I know) or scUM.

He will play in a giant stadium that is always full and have the potential salary that only an SEC school can afford.

He also gets to move away from the place where he probably knows his exwife used to bang players and trainers in his own facility or in other areas nearby that have similar memories.

At the very least, he will stoops the Clowns into a gigantic contract. Win Win.

This!

Hate on Urban Meyer all you want for being a quitter and letting the program sink, but while his head was in it he was ALL GATOR and hated to lose and did WHATEVER it took to win. His teams were tough, not soft. We need to get back to that.

At this point, even if we had the best recruiters, 17 year old kids are still going to say no. And that's because they watch some of the games too. They see the s--t display of football on the field the last several years. They want to go where playing games is fun. And even when we win, it's just not fun anymore. And they see that.

Point made. Obviously, our on-the-field product sucks and affects recruiting. But we still need better recruiters. If we cannot do a better job recruiting State of Florida, there is little chance of us ever being elite again. Seems like now we are "accepting" anything that comes our way.
