I'm sure the resident liberals will credit this to Obama's 10 year economic plan.

I bet those claims are down because now you get a new job before you are laid off. Now if your job is in great demand a raise might be happening, if not then asking is fine but if you want more money today you must be willing and able to change employers.

That's not a bad point, Chief. I tried to convince my brother in the service industry to move to North Dakota. I have a guy I went to school with that is making nearly 100k driving a damn truck.?...! You have to be willing to go where the jobs are but I do foresee a return to a more normal wage growth.

I have a relative that both drives a truck and supervises some new drivers. I don't know what he earns, but he basically gets money for nothing on the supervises portion, he just rides and gives little to no training. That is why self driving trucks will come, not that no driver will be employed but a different skill set will be required and the job will be easier.

Anyone that has driven north on 75 headed to town for a game is going to complain about that. I've had a few of them try and murder me.

Wait until small business fully kicks in....it's coming....soon. Wages will rise but I hope it is a steady increase to allow small business owners to cash in themselves for all their dedication, hours and sacrifice. The other problem is though a large majority of younger people, 30 years old and younger are stupid as sh!t, lazy, and quite frankly not worth what their making now let alone doing anykind of detailed work where your company is liable....We need about 3 to 4 more employees to keep up but have found none that are worth wasting time on as a small business owner in our field.

Yes. Obama introduced the 8-year lag time concept of Presidential leadership. Nothing that happened during his tenure was his fault. It was all due to W. Everything good that comes after his tenure is his.

He would not want you to let the facts distract you from this view - such as his dismantled executive policies and trade agreements.

Had Hillary won, we’d be at 1.5% growth or less with zero effort to renegotiate trade with anyone. Bill would be cutting deals and selling us out even more. Every despot on the planet would be taking advantage.

Where’s the wage growth with these historically great jobless claim numbers?

                        Happy Fathers Day everyone.

One step at a time. You have to have a job before you can get a raise. Having 20% of the adult populace on the govt dole isn't wage growth either. Bringing in illegals to do work for lower wages isn't going to increase wages but hey, it will generate more demcratic voters.

Lots of reasons -- the decline of labor unions, fewer workers moving across state lines looking for jobs, a reduction in young, fast-growing companies, the deterioration of the inflation-adjusted minimum wage, automation.

It's nothing new. We've essentially had stagnant wages since the 1970s.
