I think you live in Florida. If so this case is getting reversed. I don't really believe prosecutors, or defense attorneys, or judges would allow in some stuff you wrote about. Maybe you researched it and found out some of your information later, but if not...

Durty can say whatever he wants to say about the case. It's his right to talk or not talk about it. It isn't what Durty said about it. It's a litany of factual details that he recited that cannot come in to a criminal trial.

The following is per se reversible error: "Next morning perp gets arrested after routine traffic stop (busted tail light) results in cops pulling his data to find suspended license, 3 tickets unpaid and overdue, 3 skipped court appearances and an expired and stolen tag. Girl finds out perp arrested and in jail later that day.

Even if the perp's defense attorney did not object to this information, the case is getting reversed on a 3.850 ineffective assistance of counsel motion. This information cannot come into somebody's criminal trial. If the defense attorney is arguing about the admissibility of a jail call, than It would seem he/she would be astute enough to argue over this. If the prosecutor/s have any experience between them, they would not elicit this information to begin with. Unless the defense attorney stipulated to this information coming in on the record before the trial (which is incredibly unlikely), this case is going to be reversed on appeal.That's just the most glaring example of why this factual summation makes no sense. There are other things referenced that would not happen in a criminal trial.

I dont understand any of that legal mumbo jumbo you spouted about and dont really care or need to. The details of the traffic stop were discussed between the perp and his lying female friend on the jail phone call. She asked at the beginning of the call why he got arrested to start with and he said something to the effect of "aww man, they got me for a busted tail light but then notice my tag was expired and ran the plates after they pulled me over. Then she was like "oh dang, that wasnt that tag from georgia was it?" and he was like yea, then she was like ahhh dang, they got you, blah blah. And he also said it got worse b/c of those unpaid tickets that he never showed up about, etc etc. It was on tape.

So yea, its not made up, Im not a liar or anything else that you claim. What is abundantly clear here though is how big of a complete @sshole you are. Maybe you can look up the case. Bay County, Fl. Perps name was Carlos Bell although I dont know how to spell his last name and the judge who had a very southern accent sort of pronounced it like Beal but the lady who took the paper with our verdict and read it (court reporter im guessing) prounounced it as Carlos Bell along with the prosecution and defense. Prosecutor was 2 people, the attractive female was named Alicia Curruthers (again spelling?) and i dont remember the dudes name. I did know the defense attnys name but it escapes me now. The judge was Elijah Smiley.

So go look it up and afterwards eat a fat D!!!!

No, I don't. Ive never been to court or been on a jury so I dont know if this is how it always is but what happened was once we came out and handed the verdict form to the lady who read it aloud, the judge thanked us all for our time and efforts and then told us at that time we are free to leave and had 1 bailiff escort us out of the courtroom and 1 other met us in the hallway and escorted us to the building exit. Not sure if escorting you out the building is normal but that's what happened. So we didnt get to hear any sentencing. I know when we left, the lawyers and perp were standing so maybe after we left they went into sentencing? Or maybe they didnt, I really dont know. But ya know, Im probably making all this up so go ahead and ignore everything I just said :rolleyes:

Right. The stuff that is going to cause this case to be reversed. That doesn't come into a criminal trial. Your prior bad acts don't come in unless they are related in specific ways to the new crime.

One of three possibilities that I wrote about. The others being there was an unlikely stipulation between the parties, and the other being that all the parties involved dropped the ball. Of course you gravitate towards this.
