You said this same amazing BS through TWO National Titles during the Meyer era, where we DOMINATED SEC defenses. You kicked and screamed the entire time.
We had two good years of offense and Saban hadnt arrive. The offense worked then bc any offense would work with Harvin. He could beat anyone one and one, and Demps, Thompson, Rainey, and every other smurfed couldnt.

Every team in the SEC (except Bammer Ugly and Arky) runs a spread option now Every one sucks. 80% of college football runs soread option and all bit one sucks. It is way easier to find an accurate QB than it is to find an accurate QB who is also an elute sec level RB.

Again, it doesnt matter. He doesnt want to come to college and if he did, it wouldnt be Florida.

You could always have Cousin Eddie and his 100th ranked shytshow. Thats probably likely.

I'm sure I'll get killed for this (especially from Law Donkey) but I'm kinda feeling this Holgerson Air Raid right now.

Bash away Donk!
The good news is that we could pay his bonuses in cocaine. It might be in our budget.

This guy parties constantly, gets hammered in public, falling in the floor piss yourself drunk, hits on waitresses and strippers, and gets thrown out of bars and casinos. That stuff gets ignored in West Virginia. It just would never work in Gainesville.

Plus he would never win in the SEC. they don't even tackle in practice. His tissue paper defense would never work.

Look, I prefer Gundy out of those two but Fedora took over two teams on probation. His work may actually be better.

That being said, OSU is decidedly the little sister to Oklahoma and also lives in the shadow of Texas. When Saban left Michigan State he referred to never being the the flagship of the state always having to split talent (at best) in the state with Michigan. The effect is real and it's much harder to recruit at a place like that.

I wonder if you handed Gundy elite talent what he could do with him because he definitely wins more than he "should".

I would be happy with either.

Since when are you not a gundy guy?
I am a Gundy guy I guess.

I thought you were talking Holgerson, that mullet wearing street drunk.

Im not.sold though. He isnt a slam dunk by any means i admit.

I might like Babers or Brohm more. Havent watch much of them though.

Watched Purdue vs Lousiville last week. Purdue looked good for a first year coach and considering Ville is destroying Fedora and squeaked it out vs Purdue, call me impressed.

Brohm is imo the closest thing to a sure shot on offense. He could completely up end the SEC and he would be able to use the type of WRs we have (tall, fast receivers who are hands first guys not blocking first guys).

However, his defense has been terrible, there is no doubt. Same goes for Fedora though and Fedora isn't nearly as prolific on offense.

He did turn down an offer to be OC at Bama under Saban so I'm sold let's get him.

Anyone think we should try for Josh McDaniels? I can see him either doing great or busting, but I think he is more likely to do well. He is a young, energetic guy with a good offensive mind. Plus since he isn't a head coach currently, I think we'd have a shot at him.

He wouldn't be here long term if he succeeds; however, I'd rather lose a coach to the NFL than have to drop a loser coach.

I wouldn't be mad at the hire but I want a proven college football coach.
