Kaepernick's GF cost him a job....because she is racist and not the NFL

    says Ray Lewis

    http://www.dailywire.com/news/20678...re-about-sign-kaepernick-amanda-prestigiacomo

Cop-hating, Castro-loving QB Colin Kaepernick has yet to be signed to an NFL team for the 2017 season after he opted out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers. The narrative on the Left goes something like this: the NFL is a deeply racist organization actively black-listing Kap.

But that narrative is not being bought by some in the league. Earlier this month, Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy explained that Kaepernick's play simply isn't good enough for a team to sign him considering all the "chaos" he brings; which McCoy said can tear apart a team.

And now former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis is blowing a hole in the narrative, too.

According to Lewis, the Ravens were going to sign the controversial quarterback until his girlfriend, radio host Ness Diab, decided to tweet a racist meme of Lewis on August 3; Diab compared the football legend to Samuel L. Jackson's character in Django Unchained hugging owner Steve Bisciotti, compared to Leonardo Dicaprio's character in the film.

"We were going to close the deal to sign him," Lewis said on Tuesday's Inside the NFL. "Steve Bisciotti said, 'I want to hear Colin Kaepernick speak to let me know that he wants to play football.'"

"And it never happens because that picture comes up the next day," added the former NFL star.

"[Kaepernick's] girl goes out and put out this racist gesture and doesn't know we are in the back office about to try to get this guy signed," Lewis explained. "Steve Bisciotti has said it himself: 'How can you crucify Ray Lewis when Ray Lewis is the one calling for Colin Kaepernick?'"

When asked if Kaepernick would have been signed if Diab hadn't sent the racist tweet, Lewis replied:

"Then he's flying him to Baltimore. ... I am sitting with all three of them and we are all having a conversation about bringing Colin Kaepernick in."

In other words, it was Kaepernick's girlfriend's racism that lost him a job opportunity, not the "racist" NFL.

Two days before Diab sent out the racist meme, Lewis posted an emotional video on Twitter telling Kaepernick that he respects him and prays for him often.

"I wish you the best in life; I hope you chase whatever God got for you to chase. And once again, I applaud what you stood up for," said Lewis.

"And if people really wanna help you, if they really wanna help you, man, they'll pray for you, brother," he said. "They will lead you the right way and stop encouraging you to be caught up in some of this nonsense."

I cant believe that owner was even considering signing him with all that baggage considering his poor play recently.

He's a f*cking racist 2 people...let's not get sh*t twisted! Did his GF's bullsh*t help him? No! However his anti-white/anti-police/anti-American stance is why his punk a$$ is currently riding his couch instead of a bench somewhere!

I think they are basically saying that Ray Lewis talked the Raven's into giving him a shot and as that was about to happen, his GF opened her racist trap. I really hate that the NFL has pinned his murdering ass as some kind of NFL approved role model. Anyone who supports Kaepernick is guilty by association.

It is... the fact that Ray Lewis had to use his personal influence over a owner he is still tight with to even get a conversation about giving him signed shows it. If his ability to play qb matched his athletic talent he would have been signed regardless of his political leanings

You realize that the Daily Wire is a conservative source. I highly doubt the left narrative is that one of the biggest POS's in football is the only person vouching for Kaepernick, but the opportunity was lost because Kaepernick's GF compared said POS to a slave.

Why not just start these threads in the political forum. You know that's where it's going to end up.

Kaepernick was adopted and raised by a white family, which is interesting.

Those whites don't fit the narrative midwest. You aren't supposed to mention them.

And I'll say what I've already said. He's not on a roster because he's been a terrilble NFL QB since the Super Bowl. Kinda the same reason Tebow hasn't been on a roster since the Patriots went in dry on him and the Broncos in the playoffs.

I think with both Tebow and Kaepernick is has less to do with with talent than with their baggage. Both are probably good enough to be backups, but neither are worth the circus that comes with them as backups.

Tebow, Kaepernick, Ray Rice... see a trend? It's that their performance doesn't allow their baggage to be overlooked. They could all still play, but the baggage would be too much.

Its classic reward/baggage proportionality. Your ability to get away with silly/stupid crap off the field is directly proportional to your game-time performance. Know your worth. Do what you can afford, no more.
