I think Kansas State also recently did some big time upgrades to the players facilities and practice facilities.

They could spend a billion on facilities and nobody is going to want to go spend 3-4 years in that hell hole state.

There is no information on how they are going to pay for this, and it appears that they are way behind many other programs. Throwing money at stuff is not something that I would support, and having a cap on borrowing is a great idea. If you can convince boosters that there is value in spending money I bet you can raise it. Past and current management seem to follow this reasonable path.

But it's getting where a school either pays for the "facilities war" or drops its CFB program & thus all sports.

Add in the savings on cheeseburger meat since Charley Weiss left town and that's a pretty good bit of chump change.

What have we spent recently?
$18M on the indoor practice facility
$25M on the "Student Life" Center
$65M on the O'connel Center
Plus the $100M on the new upgrades
There was $50M upgrade to the stadium in 2003 and the $30M Heavener complex on 2008

This is somewhat what people do, they insist that there are only two alternatives, when in reality there are a wide variety of options. I am for whatever is effective in meeting our stated goals.

I think it is "a championship experience with integrity".

Part of integrity is using resources appropriately.

Get on the rocket ride that is Kansas football! Look at the plans - $300M in the works! $8824 for every fan in the stadium.

So, 18m on football and the rest on irrelevent sports?
