Anyone who runs their business with some alternative altruistic primary objective, doesn't have the $2billion it takes to own a team.

While that's true, it amazes me how billionaires think. Already with more money than they could ever spend, they remain locked on a quest to make more, even if it means stepping all over people.

For example, I was reading how Khan makes more money in games in London than he does in Jacksonville, so he really likes the idea of moving the team or at least playing more games there. This, in effect, takes a crap all over the Jacksonville fans AND his own players, but he doesn't give two sh!ts about that as long as he can make BIGGER profits. I'm all for capitalism and think people should make as much money as possible, but I don't understand crapping on your own fans and players to do it.

If I was a Jaguar fan I would pray every night that POS would sell the team to someone who actually gave a damn about the product. You know, actually liked football.

Crapping on Jacksonville makes sense to me.

If they move, what happens to the above ground pool?

No argument there. I misunderstood your conviction about the supposed inevitability of it as a belief that it'll be a successful venture.

Me too. The horrible quality of their strip clubs (either no nudity, or no alcohol) is an affront to God. He created the female form and imbued in us the divine knowledge of the fermentation process, and abhors the idea that man cannot enjoy the blessings of both in all their glory under the same roof.

The pool? How about the whole stadium? I'd think the cost of maintaining it would be prohibitively expensive if it's only used for the Cocktail Party and the occasional tractor pull. The Leg-humpers might end up getting their wish to make the series home-and-home.

And yes, I know the stadium existed before the Jaguars came, but back then it was just a big hunk of concrete. Now that they've renovated and high-teched it up, I'm sure the upkeep costs are considerably more.

The last time the cocktail party was held in Ga didn't turn out too well for them

You should get over to Jville more often.
Just went to a big concert in the stadium back on Labor Day weekend.

They hold numerous events at the stadium year round.

If the Nfl ever leaves, they will have more college games and more events to fill that hole.
Well, not completely fill, Im under no illusion that the nfl doesn't pay the bills and fill the city fun ticket coffers.

But, The stadium was used before and would be again.

It has Rodger Goodell written all over it.

maybe con can hire Tebow when the team gets to London.

I guess we have Wayne Weaver to thank or blame for this.

Just got blown out for the second straight game. Who cares if they're moved.

NFLPA would never agree to a team in London. Jet-lag, time away from home (unless all players and coaches of the team move their families there), strange scheduling. It will never work.

I can see him buying the stadium so he gets all the proceeds from his one Jags game a year there, plus the one other game a year there. I don't know if the players and the coaches would have any say in this, but this isn't some move of a team from Oakland to Vegas. That's in the same timezone, in the US. This would be a significant change, and if the players / coaches have any say in this whatsoever, it'll never pass.

And another entity that has a say in this - the TV networks. Currently they show the game that's there at about 9 am ET. What kind of ratings do they get for that time slot on a Sunday morning? I bet it's not the equivalent of a Sunday afternoon or night game. One or two games a year, they currently live with that. An entire home season of 8 home games? I just don't see it.

That good. But at least you can drive out of California. I can't believe the Brits would support "football."

I see Bortles (I would change my name) has reverted to past performances.

I thought you had to be born in America to own an NFL team :). However, he does own a Yacht christened Kismet, which means "one's lot in life". Maybe he's destined to be a Brit.

That aint the way it works, unAmerican or not ruefully. Greenbay is the only example of establishing a city own team. Pretty cool actually. The town is a lot smaller than Jax also.
