Why would a team take a chance in the 1st 4 rounds to bring in a player that has a high chance to fail because of character)

You need either starters or contributors in those 1st few rounds. You wouldn’t take somebody who was average but had high character. They’re chance of failure is about the same.

NFL policies are lax for good players. They need to fill the stands and make money. Start players make money.

The Bears need a young WR. This kid is a great value pickup if you can whip his ass into shape.

Callaway isn't as much devious as he is gullible and naive, at least according to people who purport to really know him. I think he'll be okay.

No way I’m drafting a kid that dumb. No way. The NFL’s drug testing policy isn’t designed to stop players from using drugs. They all know exactly when the tests are going being be administered (once a year). They’re designed to weed out the dumbasses...and Calloweed is a dumbass.

What are you thinking? Mr. Irrelevant?
Rounds 4 to 6. Character concerns have taken more of a front seat these days in the NFL than they used to, and Calloway has a bad character rap sheet as thick as a phone book. It wasn't one "mistake" - it was one thing after the other until UF was forced to give him the boot.

Rumors flying around the draft that a player busted for pot before has failed a drug test for the same reason. That has Callaway written all over it.

Well being gullible and naive is very bad unless he can learn or have a person who makes his decisions for him. I know someone who would love to keep him out of stupid trouble and even invest his money properly.

Kiper is right. He could be the next Antonio Brown. But he could also be the next Josh Gordon.

In the Callaway avenue, someone will make him an offer he can't refuse.
