I listed Sandy, Drysdale and Nolan. You're definitely right about Seaver. He's one that I had completely forgot about. There were good arms back then, but over time there became even more tough pitchers is all I was saying.
I think the biggest difference in eras was the advent of closers. Back then the top guys threw 20+ complete games a year. Now there is always a fresh arm on the mound.
But I loved those guys back then. Koufax, Gibson and Seaver were off the charts. Gibsons 17 strikeout performance in a World Series game might have been the most dominant pitching performance I ever witnessed.
