I'm really hoping this game isn't a noon game by CBS and is moved to a night game.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida football team returns to The Swamp on October 11 to face Southeastern Conference foe LSU. CBS has elected to use a six-day option for selections for Oct. 11.

Games being held for selection are: Auburn at Mississippi State, Ole Miss at Texas A&M, LSU at Florida, Alabama at Arkansas and Georgia at Missouri.

CBS will televise a doubleheader, with a game at 3:30 pm ET and Noon ET. ESPN will televise two games, one at 6:00 pm ET and one at 9:00 pm ET. CBS has first selection for its 3:30 pm ET game then ESPN has the next two selections for its 6:00 pm ET and 9:00 pm ET games followed by CBS selecting its Noon ET game. The SEC Network has the next selection.

Florida is 31-26-3 all-time against the Tigers, including a 15-11-3 record in Gainesville.

Well if LSU manages a win at Auburn and we beat UT, we'll be the 3:30 game. Otherwise, I don't see it. Expecting a night game on this one. Georgia @ Missouri has noon game written all over it.

I'm thinking Alabama at Arkansas for the 3:30p and everyone else falling out from that.

Noon games are the worst. Never know what team will show up for the early starts. Rarely do teams seem to hit the ground running.

Auburn/MSU would be a different choice for a 3:30 game. Can't even remember the last time CBS visited Starkville.

Yep, I was thinking that would be a CBS double-header or even the Ole Miss vs. TAMU with the Alabama at Arkansas combo before they pick up our game. I'm hoping more for an evening game myself! Better for tailgating! :)

So this is a CBS double-header day. If the noon game, I'll end up missing two in a row. Saturday is Yom Kippur, holiest day in Jewish calendar, and so I'll miss UF-UT (missed the LSU debacle in Muschamp's first year for the same reason). Following Saturday, I'm presenting a paper at an academic conference, so I'd miss a noon start on the 11th as well. For the Gators' sake, I hope it's not noon on the 11th, as noon in October in The Swamp will be hotter than you know where.

I'm praying for a night game. My daughter picked the 11th for her wedding day.

The only game I missed of the 2008 season was the Ole Miss game. My bro and his wife had their wedding that day, it was his only off weekend before being redeployed to Iraq. So I know the feeling.

Aren't you paying for the wedding? You could probably convince her that a different date would work better.

There is no reasoning with a woman planning a wedding. Haven't you ever watched the Bridezilla show?

CBS is just waiting on the results of ours and LSU game.. When we beat UT, just need to see what LSU does. If they win, it will be 3:30, if not we will prob be 7:30
