WTF is Mac doing? He's loading he gun that Stricklin is going to put him out of his misery with.
Article on Herbert
KLH is telling us everything we need to know to flip him. If Summers doesn't land him I'm personally going to move him out of his office.
I'll get the hole ready to put him in just hit me up when you get him in the truck and I'll give you directions
Zero faith in that.
Wasn't the Auburn OC the main reason we missed out on Stidham?
No, Donkey and Nusschamp were.
How hard is it to negative recruit against them? Just show the recruits tape and stats?
We have alot of plan c guys popping up on visit lists lately and here's the newest one. Btw...we seem to be offering alot of Maryland kids/commits as of late. Hopefully this is a sign that Locks is on his way!
Honestly, you could probably show up to the football offices and tell the receptionist that you were there to move Summers out and they'd probably show you the way.
But hey, we'll probably keep Nord...for no good reason whatsoever.
That's all anyone needs...they don't even need a recruiting pitch...just pop in the tape!
Trust me, if I'm picking up Summers I'm putting Nord in the trunk.
not gonna deny this
So a small class full of 3 stars.
Sign him up!
If it was up to me we'd have 6 top tier DT's in this class. I'm dropping bags
Looks like Bama already been by Robinsons house
So we are becoming Maryland?
Mac is begging anyone and everyone (whether they are worth a f*ck or not) to join this class. Yet...he's slow playing kids like Truesdell!
Don't forget that Dirkin is the coach there. He could actually recruit, and DT's are hard to project.
Heres who the staff will see tomorrow. Also Drew Hughes will be on the road recruiting since Mac failed to make a single f*cking hire before the dead period ended like he said he would.
Head coach Jim McElwain will work the Tampa area visited commits Malik Davisand Daquon Green. McElwain will also stop by the high schools of two of the top 2018 offensive tackle prospects — Richard Gouraige and Nicholas Petit-Frere.
With Florida still having an opening on the coaching staff, Director of Player Personnel Drew Hughes will be allowed on the road recruiting for the Gators. Hughes is slated to visit a star-studded list of recruits. Top-50 defensive lineman LaBryan Ray, top-75 wide receiver Henry Ruggs III, Auburn offensive tackle commit Kendall Randolph, Auburn linebacker commit Tadarian Moultry, and current Oklahoma linebacker commit Jacob Phillips are all expected to get a visit from Hughes.
Defensive coordinator Randy Shannon will check on the trio of Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage prospects that includes Michigan offensive tackle Kai-Leon Herbert, four-star offensive guard/defensive tackle Tedarrell Slaton, and cornerback commit Marco Wilson. Shannon will also visit N.C. State linebacker commit Nick Smith in Orlando.
Running backs coach Tim Skipper will travel to New Orleans to visit top safety target Brad Stewart. While in the area, Skipper will also check on 2018 wide receiver JaMarr Chase.
Both wide receivers coach Kerry Dixon and defensive backs coach Torrian Gray will visit Lakeland (Fla.) four-star wide receiver James Robinson. The Gators are looking to add the 6-foot-2, 195-pound prospect to their class before National Signing Day.
Gray will also visit USC defensive back commit Juwan Burgess. The Tampa (Fla.) Plant product is expected to visit UF later this month. Linebacker commit Ventrell Miller is another prospect expected to get a visit from Gray.
Dixon is slated to visit wide receiver commitDaquon Green as well as 2018 wide receiver Warren Thompson and 2018 defensive lineman Malcolm Lamar.
Tight ends coach Greg Nord will visit local defensive tackle Cory Durden, who is currently committed to Florida State. Auburn defensive tackle commit Alec Jackson is another Nord will visit along with wide receiver Tamorrion Terry, who Florida continues to keep warm.
Offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier will drop in on his quarterback commit Jake Allen before heading to Palm Beach County to check on prospects. There Nussmeier will see Oklahoma linebacker commit K’Jakre Daley as well as 2018 defensive backsGurvan Hall and Keidron Smith.
Offensive line coach Mike Summers will drop by to see offensive tackle commit T.J. Moore, as well as 2018 defensive tackle Rick Sandidge and 2018 athlete Ryan Jones.
Nord is seriously still out recruiting?
Thankfully not positions of need. Just two DTs.
This makes no sense. He has been Gus's right hand man for several years.
Did I miss something or is there no mention of Rumph? His name is mysteriously absent from all recruiting reports I've seen, and his position is where we are most deficient. Anyone else pick up on this?
I don't know about the rest of you but, I LOVE Robinson's gold grill!
Nope...I missed it! Seems kinda odd he's not out but if you look back at his track record (in g-ville) on the trail and it makes perfect sense. Dude hasn't landed a DT in 2 yrs!!!
I wouldn't read too much into it. Could be any number of reasons including crap reporting (most likely). Could also be that he's making visits that the staff doesn't want to advertise to the competition (least likely).
I wonder if maybe he is grouped w' Coach Shannon?
Doesn't look like it...but I'm going to keep digging today and try to find out what the deal is!
Looks like Rumph went with Hughes to see Ray in Alabama.
So, just crap reporting.
Looks that way
A friend of mine who played D1 football and is a huge Bama fan put this out on FB yesterday.
I wish these college football "fans" would take the time to understand these Recruiting "Star Ratings". If you play High School football, and are breathing, you are a 1 star. If your mom and dad sign you up, pay for, and get you to..ANY football camp, you are a 2 star if you dont fall out of your car and **** yourself when you get there. Keep in mind, you are really looked at as a way to supplement Asst Coaches income! After you have paid for and attended Camp, you will get bombed with emails by the time you return home, saying" The (insert a team) coaches saw you and were really impressed with your skills. Please sign up for (and pay for AGAIN) this next camp in the following month! From there, Dad takes this "mass mailed letter with their sons name on it" to work to brag, and mom takes it to the tennis luncheon for the same, boasting that little Johnny is "being recruited by (insert team). "We even have this letter to prove it". So, they sign Johnny up for the next camp, and so on, and so on, and so on. By the time they spend $5,000, zoom little Johnny all over the country, forgo family vacations because they dont have the extra money....Johnny will become, guess what, a 3 star!! More bragging, more boasting, more sugar plums dancing in their heads......then, signing day comes. "No coaches will return my call, I just dont understand!". "Where is my scholarship, I went to all the camps?" "Why won't the coach take my call?" "It says right here that Little Johnny is a 4 star!!!!". "All the recruting sites we have subscribed to (at $500 per site) even sent him a team lanyard with his name on it".......so the following Fall little Johnny isnt playing in front of 100,000 adoring fans, he's working at Quick Trip and going to a Community College.
I never really could get behind that look. To me the more natural adornments are much more gangsta.
Well that's a lateral move very few people probably saw coming.
Probably just means that the end of the world is upon us. If it starts raining (literal) cats and dogs, you have 5 minutes.
Rumph is with Mac in Tampa.
Sending Nord to guys we have no chance at.
Apparently... But they seem to be guys that (a) are committed elsewhere that we don't expect to flip, or (b) are plan C or D guys.
You don't have the necessary permissions to use the chat.
