We are supposedly giving him a shot at DT. He has all the physical skills. Once he announced that he wanted to play DT and Florida was at the top all the 247Sports people started predicting he would be a Gator.

He is a 4* at OG, but what would his rating be as DT. I can't imagine he would have a great DT star rating otherwise other teams would be recruiting him as a DT... Don't get me wrong... He is a big dude and I would love to have him at DT, he just may be more of a project at that position.

We need to recruit and let these guys play where they want to play. If you recall, we missed out on Henry because Musrap wanted him playing linebacker instead of RB and we told Adoree he would only be on defense and wouldn't have a shot playing both ways!

I don't disagree at all. i am just wondering if e will be able to contribute right away at DT. I think we should take him, but we also need some guys who can play right away because our depth is so bad.

Looks like it's going to be out of US,UNC and VA Tech for Hunter. Hearing he and his family truly want him to get a quality education.

Hunter was asked if any schools lead down the stretch.

“It’s not really any schools standing out, but the ones I’m really contacting, the ones I’m really familiar with are Virginia Tech, Florida and UNC.”

The Gators are selling Hunter on the opportunity play right away in their secondary.

“Basically, they’re telling me I can come in and it’s a great opportunity to play. I can go in there and compete, and I fit the scheme also, so I like everything about that.”

Update on Solomon from Rivals (free article).

If he truly is wanting the best education then UF should be the choice. Really hope he keeps that visit date with us.

5-star DT Aubrey Solomon breaks down UGA, UF, USC
Woody Wommack | Recruiting Analyst
The latest: Newly-minted five-star Auburey Solomon is already turning heads at Army Bowl practices in San Antonio with his action on the field, but recruiting observers around the country have been playing close attention to his words to see if he will give any hint as to his future college destination. With more official visits coming up this month before he announces a decision. Rivals.com caught up with him to break down his recruitment.

In His Words: “The last three [official visits] are to USC, Auburn and Florida. Jan. 12 is supposed to be USC, Jan. 20 is Auburn and the last week in January is supposed to be Florida, but it might change. Oregon and Clemson are the (other) two that could get it. These last couple visits is going to be the deciding point. I plan on trying to commit after my last official visit. I can play football anywhere but I just want a world class education."

On Georgia: “They are in a good spot with me and a good spot with my family, but at the end of the day I know I need to weigh my options. My mom wants me to go as far away from home as I can. I am a big momma’s boy. My sister wants me to possibly go to Florida State because she lives in Tallahassee.

On the Florida official visit: “I just want to see the academic part, because I know from the football standpoint they only have four returning d-tackles and I could possibly play early. But, I have no idea on their academics besides what I’ve seen on the computer.

On USC: “I was born in Fresno, Calif. My grandma lives in Arizona and my uncle lives in Arizona, so they are very close. I have a couple uncles in California and my Godmom’s in California too, so I have a lot of family connections out there.

Rivals Reaction: Alabama is the presumed leader in the clubhouse after Solomon and his family came away with the Tide's plan for him both on and off the field. But Michigan hasn't given up and a late offer from Oregon has Solomon seriously considering shaking up his visit plans. The one wildcard could be Georgia, which is close to home and has already hosted Solomon on several unofficial visits. No matter how his visits shake out, Solomon is likely to keep people guessing until the end.
