Sad that Lattimore never got to play a down in the pros. Very talented player and an all around good person.

Lattimore could have been very good in the NFL, but sounds like he has a good head on his shoulders and will make best out of the situation.

From reading that brief article, did the injuries end his career or did he lose his love for football? Was he not performing well, or did all that rehab sap his love for the game?

I'm pretty sure it was the injury. Your knee isn't supposed to bend that way.

Sounds like a little of both.

He was an excellent ambassador for the game and just a great kid. I dont normally root for rival schools players but am proud to make an exception for lattimore. Wish we had 100 more kids like him in sports. So sad what happened to him but he's a winner on and off the field and am quite sure he'll stay that way.

He's a great kid. From SC and committed to USCe over Clumpson. Turned around Spurrier's team. Other than Alshon Jeffrey, he may have been the only big time offensive recruit that ever signed with them.

One of my favorite non-Gator players of recent times. He has the character to go on and have a great life, but injuries like this are the hard side of the sport. Hope he had insurance or got a good injury severance.

He's the reason I started watching college football. I was always a big gymnastics fan.

Yeah, he was the guy - I believe it was the Byrnes HS team - who stayed away from Kiffie's "hostesses" that travelled to a HS game of theirs and gave a couple of his teammates a "great time".

He is terribly injured and is still in great pain. He probably will be his whole life.
