Yeah, for a moment, that's when I thought we brought in the real deal Coach... but then the PC, liberal admin crowd neutered him and he was off popping popcorn and stuttering 'and yets'.

I just don't understand the hate for Kelvin Taylor.

Who hates him? He was a good player that was unfortunately part of the some of the dumbest offensive coordinators in UF history while also getting saddled with a poor D3 offensive line his junior season. If he was a running back during Spurrier years, he would have put up much better numbers. But that doesn't change he doesn't have NFL acceleration or vision when he runs. There was a reason Matt Jones started ahead of him. Kelvin got $hit on his junior season, after two years of getting $hit on by Muschamp in offensive game-planning and lack of offensive player development. I wish him well, I hope he hangs on and continues to collect an NFL paycheck for years. Just don't see it happening.

Report: Falcons waive RB Kelvin Taylor
Atlanta parted ways with the former Florida back

http://florida.247sports.com/Bolt/Report-Falcons-waive-RB-Kelvin-Taylor-106762205

The Atlanta Falcons are down one running back at week’s end.

On Friday, the team waived Kelvin Taylor, Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports.

Taylor joined the organization on Aug. 8, but failed to leave enough of an impression in the midst of a backfield led by Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman, and that also features Terron Ward and rookie Brian Hill.

Ward, in particular, impressed coaches with his play this summer.

A sixth-round draft pick by San Francisco last year, Taylor did not make the 49ers’ 53-man roster, though was later added to the team’s practice squad. He was then cut and wound up briefly in Seattle, who waived him in May.

The 23-year-old, and son of former Jaguars back Fred Taylor, was with Kansas City for four days in May.

At Florida, Taylor rushed for 2,108 yards while averaging 4.3 yards per attempt on 486 carries. He added 179 yards off 24 catches and scored 23 all-purpose touchdowns.

NFL teams have until 4:00 pm EST on Saturday to complete their 53-man roster. Waivers then run until noon eastern on Sunday, and practice squads are to be set up an hour later.

That's a bummer. He probably should've stuck around and got his diploma.

Jags should pick him up and stash him on practice squad. Fournette is already a little banged up, Ivory is old, and Yeldon sucks.

I don't think he has any practice squad eligibility left. If the Jags need him in the future, they can find him behind the counter wearing a funny hat.

Taylor waived again, this time by the 0-16 Browns.

He's now been cut by an impressive 5 teams. We all know what's next:

Maybe you'll celebrate Taylor a little more if he fails at baseball, too?
You are taking an instance of Taylor being cut by the Browns to bash Tebow, a player that brought UF a Heisman and a closet full of titles? Why?
