Remember when we hired SOS and won the SEC immediately?

And hired CUM and he won it innthe second year but went 9-3 the first year.

You know when you hired a champion. The players know too. The team looks different immediately. Some leave the team but the others just look different.

You also know when you hire a Mushchimo, McElstain or Mullinz. It is just same shyt different year with them.

A never ending excusathon. Cant recruit before 4 years. Cant win w these recruits. Cant recruit w these facilities. Its gonna be a six year rebuild, maybe 8-10 bc facilities are four years out.

Just hoping we arent 0-8. What humiliations are left?
You have the worst revisionist history on earth. Nobody was happy after 2005 and half of 2006. We looked inept on offense.

It took a while to get used to winning with defense, STs and just the slightest sprinkle of offense.

You said everybody sees the elite coach right off the bat. Nobody was sold on Meyer until we curb stomped Ohio State, 2 years into his run here. You’ve fired Mullen 3 games into his first season.

Fired him?

No, just know he will be just what his resume and record says he is.
To think every situation is equal is laughable. He overperformed by every metric at that shyt ass school and anybody not named Swonkey will tell you that. It’s also statistically factual

Saban couldn't have done better at Miss St. Saban would've lost against Kentucky too.

Nick Saban's records at Michigan State:

6-5-1
6-6
7-5
6-6
9-2

It could be argued that Michigan State was higher-tier in the Big 10 than Mississippi State was in the SEC, but neither are the top programs of their conferences. Seems believable that Saban wouldn't have done much better at Mississippi State.

BUWAHAHAHAHAHA. We have someone BETTER than Saban. Mullen is the next Nick Meyer. Who knew? Forget that 5-7 record two years ago MSU. That doesn't count, right?

Some of ours fans have completely lost their minds.

I was an anyone-but-Mullen guy during the coaching search, so don't lump me in there. You posited sarcastically that Saban couldn't do better at MSU and I'm simply showing that history would actually agree with that. Saban is only good because he hoards most of the top talent. Without it he's an average to above average coach at best.

And also organizationally runs a very tight ship. He maybe an ass hole, but he is a guy that knows his goal. That is to compile Championships like t gathers gay porn on vhs and midget gathers step ladders.

How did a home loss to UK factor in to his overachieving metric? Had to be at least a 4 star moral victory I would guess.

6 pages too late so idk if anybody said this but the light in the tunnel here I guess is that we now prove we are at least willing to spend the money. The nack nationally about Florida is they wouldn’t spend money. Muschamp has done plenty of anonymous interviews blasting Florida for this and now this monkey is off the back. Either way we over spent (unless maybe Tennessee had offered close to it when they offered)
UT verified they wanted him and they have big money.

Slevin, this is one thing I've learned these last 10 years. A 7-8 win coach will be that where ever he goes if not worse. Muschamp has the same type of record at USC, mac had a similar record at CSU. Because we're uf, doesn't equate more wins. This mentality of "we can win no matter whose coaching because we're uf " is why we keep hiring shcit coaches. Mullen is mediocre and always will be. But don't worry, you'll be blaming him in a few years when we hire somebody else. It's the go to excuse around here.

So Saban was a perennial 8 win coach coming from MSU? he had 2 9 win seasons, 3 6 win seasons, and a 7 win season before leaving for LSU. Belichick was a perennial loser before NE? Spurrier was 8-4 In his best year at Duke (also had a 5 win season and a 7 win season). Pete Carroll was a perennial loser before USC. Les Miles won 4, 8, 9, 7 games before going to LSU. This argument holds zero merit. He has ten times the talent to choose from, more money to spend. To think it’s tied to the same results is what’s ludicrous. No situation is the same. He deserves a chance beyond 3 games.
