We may see EJ sooner than later.
The two redshirt soph QBs may have hit their ceiling. This season may be less fun than we hoped.
I don't see any benefit in Mullen going overboard with praise on any of the quarterbacks, or anyone else for that matter, at this point. He was a little too effusive with praise after the first practice, and he's dialing it back a bit now. Tempering expectations and tearing the guys down a little now allows him to build them back up in the coming weeks, and then we'll see who emerges.
No offense to EJ, being a true freshman, but any QB good enough to start at UF should be CLEARLY better than Franks or Trash were in spring game. The difference should be as clear as Ingle Martin (and comparing him to Trash and Franks is frankly an insult to Ingle) and Leak.
I can see how that would be distracting
Mullen's last QB didn't progress in 4 years so not sure why he seems surprised.
Fair point. But just in case you're wrong, I'm stockpiling your avatar before the fall.
Motivational speech, means almost nothing.
Or maybe its just the plain truth.
I don't see what's so difficult. You either run or pass. You got a 50% chance of always being right.
As hard as Blanton's is to find, I never pass on a bottle.
You referring to Nick Fitzgerald's two years as a starter?
Might just be attempt at a just "wake up" call? Our QBs are gonna face opposing DCs trying to prove in front of thousands that each Gator QB falls short of being a "quality" CFB QB - they better practice fighting through any discouragement.
They were all hitting routes on air, which is already a drastic improvement over the Butters era.
This is odd, but I will ask: "Does anyone else remember what Jerri Spurrier looked like as a college student?
Yep. Smoking hot.
