I've more than once considered the parallels to 2012, but I have no doubt that this coaching staff is a vast improvement over that one. We can vest in this success.

Like I said in the game thread, seeing it first hand in person now, it is quite obvious that the offense is designed to protect Harris from injury. No keeping the ball on what very few spread option looks we gave, and the few runs he had were safe QB draw plays. The pick he threw was simply forcing the ball where he shouldn't have, he threw the ball away enough today to know better. If we had scored and gone up 21-0 at half, that place would have emptied like a fire drill. I think Mac will open the playbook up big time in Atlanta, when the conference title and maybe a playoff spot will be on the line. IMHO, actual spread option looks with Treon running a few times out of them will really open some things up downfield.

I agree, but the record of 9-1 is equal to 2012. Just sayin..

Last week after the Vandy game, I came down hard on the coaching staff, mainly the play calling, for not doing anything to help Harris knowing he is not good and the offensive line sux. Today the play calling was much better for the most part and did things that I mentioned last week. There were more QB runs (although they need to add a few zone reads b/c they are there, but I understand not wanting to run Harris on purpose), screen pass that led to a 1st down, more throws to the TE's etc. Harris has terrible pocket presence and with this O-line they need to be cognizant of that. But I do think the staff did a better job. Sure there were some terrible calls and Harris made some questionable throws (thank you Cronkrite for making the play of the day) but it was small progress.

On the defensive side, the 4th quarter is the exact reason why we will never have the best defense in the country. Sure we relaxed ont he USCe 1st TD drive, but on the 2nd one can we please find a safety who understands Basic Safety Play Rule #1 when in 2 Deep: AS DEEP AS THE DEEPEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes I know not gonna happen. Where have you gone RFN?

I'm sure the coaching staff will be relieved that you felt they did a better job when they read this

The Barn in the Birmingham Bowl, as long as they find a way to beat Idaho this week. Their midline is 6-6.

Muschamp did blow this game....it was 2014 and it cost him his job, and the Gator Nation rejoiced.

Is this a god time to ask if the Chimp will still be at AU next year after a loss to Ga? Just curious.
