I disagree with the notion , you can't win with a traditional post player. Plenty of teams still do. Golden state may have had the easiest draw ever. The clippers had chris Paul banged up so the rockets took them out. The grizzlys lost both of their starting guards after they had the warriors down 2-1. They only went to that small ball line-up after game 3 or 4. Like j says there's a reason two 7 footers going 1 and 2. The whole no need for a post player is getting blown out of proportion.

No one is saying post players are not needed.

I live in the heart of acc basketball. I seen him play a couple of times up close. he hates playing defense and he takes plays off. I think he will be a good player just not elite. he lacks the fire, imo

I can agree with that. That's been the biggest knock on him , his motor and he's a liability on d.

J's on point right now and understands what is to become of Towns. Wobs, as a 7 footer, he isn't going to be playing that post up position. Dude is just coming into his own. Like Davis, he'll grow his game by playing more outside.

He has, by far, the most upside to him than anyone else AND he plays defense.

I just read where he worked out with the T-Wolves and they gave him a specific workout of shooting 100 3-Pointers. He made over 70.
