I need to add that these aren't based on priority but rather by practicality. For example, I think Fitzgerald and Franklin are both outstanding, but they're at schools close to home and therefore may not be interested in a move. Esp Franklin since he just took the job at Penn State.

Would love to see Malzahn but hard to see him going for an incremental improvement to UF vs AU. Freeze could be a great choice.

For what it's worth, my take is that we obviously have problems and just getting to a bowl may prove problematic. Once/if Foley pulls the trigger on this debacle (his doing mind you) he simply cannot afford to go the unproven coordinator route and will probably skip the hot shot "small school" type of coach. It almost has to be a proven guy at a big program. Remember, Saban went to LSU from MSU after he had a nice little run there. How sad is it that we would all be drooling over getting MSU's coach right now..

A program being run into the ground day by day, game by game..............
I read this, then read some more posts, ate dinner, washed dishes then it hit me like a ton of bricks "getting to a bowl may be problematic" problematic? PROBLEMATIC?

Malarkey couldn't even get consideration for the OC job. I think you're selling what they can pull in a little short. But we'll see who pops up in about a month

He knows that. It was rather tongue-in-cheek. The pumpers still whole heartedly believe otherwise.

Well, I managed to screw up that last thread too, so here it is again.

1) Has to have head coaching experience
2) Offensive minded (NO DC's)

Discuss.

I hear Vince Dooley's son, Derrick, is interested in giving the SEC another shot He never had a chance to present his coaching genius at Tennessee because of less than stellar players due to poor recruiting. Double D could just be a diamond in the rough.
Well, at least we know he can pound Bytch Jones.

Chip Kelly would be my ideal candidate but I think with his success so far at the Eagles that he won't be eager to leave the NFL anytime soon.
Only if Gruden turns us down.

Hopefully one of the freshman get to play and play well. That would probably help attract a good offensive minded coach.

Butch Davis. The guy can flat-out coach. He assembled one of the best teams of all time at Miami. He won at North Carolina, and look at them since his departure. Bottom line, he can recruit, he can coach, has loads of experience.

this is what need. A bunch of recruiting violations lol stop it
He actually cleaned up Miami after Erickson left them on probation that's the interesting part. No issues there but the agent got to some kids at NC and he took the fall.
