Nord has ruined the Special Teams unit at UF

Not that this isn't already known (by people who know football) but look at these numbers....Damn!!!


If you take away individual achievement stats from Johnny and Pineiro... ex punt average, FG's made, etc...

Anything with scheme or coaching responsibility of an actual unit he has ruined!

what we use to use as a weapon is now a weakness.

Nearly every category is down from last year. It is truly remarkable how this clown has a position, at a school where year in and year out special teams can actually be a true weapon.
Factor in him being a liability on the recruiting trail and he's useless.

We're strong with the kicking game, both with Piniero and Townsend (assuming he doesn't go pro which has been alluded to).

Where we stunk on ice last year was in the return game, especially on KO returns. This year seemed to be a little better on KO returns but worse in Punt returns. Dre Massey was supposed to be the guy this year but he got hurt. We'll see if he can come back and be that threat in the return game next year. If not him, then maybe one of the young WRs or DBs steps up. Somebody has to. We're Florida dammit. Somewhere on this team there is somebody who can make you hold your breath every time he fields a kick or punt. Find that guy.

Another issue is depth. At a place like 'Bama, you'll have 4 stars who can't crack the 2 deep O or D as special teamers. That means they're fresh, full of energy, focused and eager. Early in the season, a guy like Vosean Joseph was strictly a special teams guy. What do you do when he's your starting LB due to injuries (not to mention Christian Garcia)?

We need better coaching, but we need players too, and time for them to practice ST.

I'd like to see Nord fired and recruiting picking up so we can have the kind of depth you need to be deadly on ST.
