Florida takes on Texas Tech tonight at approximately 8:40 PM EST on TNT. We have to play with all the heart we have and take it to Texas Tech. Play hard and tough until the end. Move the ball and make open shots

It will be like a home game for TT. Game's in Dallas.

First thing I notice is former Gator Brandone Francis who transferred out after the 2015-16 season.

Foley is there! UF is still paying for him to travel with the team. Yay?

After the facilities mess and the McElwain fiasco, I honestly don't know how he can show his face. I'd be too embarrassed, but I'm sure he blames others for those colossal mistakes.

Oh look, a thread about tomorrow’s game couldn’t make it off the first page without a Foley b*tch fest. :rolleyes3:

Fivethirtyeight has us at slight underdogs at 44% chance of winning. Obama also picked Texas Tech to win. Lets prove them wrong!

Instead we have to listen to your b*tch fest. :rolleyes3:

Foley retired and has no business there. None.
Cool story. Maybe I’ll start a generic Cry About Jeremy Foley thread. You can sticky it under the life insurance thread so we don’t get every other sports thread muddled up.

I'll copy this over from the end of the prior game thread. They played 10 players in their opening game all of them playing 9 minutes or more:

The TxTech starters in their opening game with their season averages not including the opening round game:

PG: Evans, 6'3" 175 lbs, SR, 29.1 min, 17.5 pts, 3.1 assists, 3.0 boards per game, 31.4% on 3s
SG: Culver, 6'5" 190 lbs, FR, 26.5 min, 11.7 pts, 4.7 boards per game 40.8% on 3s
SF: Gray, 6'5" 185 lbs, SR, 20.9 min, 5.0 pts and 3.4 boards per game, 27.3% on 3s
PF: Zh. Smith, 6'5" 210 lbs, FR, 27.9 min, 11.1 pts, 4.6 boards per game, 41.9% on 3s
C: Odiase, 6'9" 265 lbs JR, 15.6 min, 4.1 pts, 4.7 boards per game. This is the guy who played only 9 minutes in their first round game.

The five other players who played were:

C: Hamilton, 6'11" 255 lbs, SR, 15.0 min, 5.8 pts and 3.2 boards per game, 39.7% on 3s
PF: Za. Smith, 6'8" 210 lbs, SR, 20.6 min, 6.0 points, 3.8 boards per game 25% on 3s
SG: Francis, 6'5" 205 lbs, RJR, 15.7 min, 5.3 pts, 2.0 boards per game, 39.2% on 3s. You know him, but it looks like he has adjust and gotten his shot in order since leaving UF.
SF: Stevenson, 6'5" 205 lbs, SR, 20.2 min, 7.5 pts, 3.1 boards per game, 41.3% on 3s
PG: Moretti, 6'3" 165 lbs, FR, 12.3 min, 3.0 pts and 1.0 assists per game, 31.5% on 3s

This is a deep balanced team. UF will need to defend the arc like UF did in the opening round. UF will need to rebound better. Size wise they are similar to UF.

He's feeling encouraged to show up due to the 13 or so fans who constantly prop him up for improving negative revenue sports. I think he's trying to get Strickland to start a curling team.

We got this. Won't be easy, but we'll pull it out. We did not have our best offensive game against the Bonnies but still won going away. Cheeze won't throw up an 0-fer from deep again.

Our defense was solid (caused 18 turnovers while only committing 9) which is what we will need against TTU. They have a top-20 defense in points allowed so it will be a slugfest. We need the defense to come up big as it will be hard for our offense to click.
