I drive a 2008 Toyota Tacoma (my first pickup) and my wife drives a 2011 Infiniti M37. It's awesome.

Toyota trucks are awesome. My dad bought an '89 new and drove it to 300,000 miles and gave it to my cousin. It is at 400,000 miles now. He then bought a 2004 Tundra and it just rolled over to 200,000 miles. Both have been completely problem free. Although the Tundra's paint is a joke it's so bad.

My official ride is a 1974 FJ40 Land Cruiser.

Mostly restored when I bought it a year ago but I'm trying to get it a little further along. No top except a bikini, so I'm restricted to better weather days. Ms. c2 isn't crazy about it, but it's something I've wanted since I was in high school back in the '70's and I tell her that I never feel as alive as when I'm driving it. Plans are to by another that is a restoration project. Probably not for everybody and kind of like me...old, not overly pretty and a throw-back that's a little off the beaten path, but still tough and very dependable (or at least that's how it feels).

Sweet ride. It is my second favorite off road vehicle to the Land Rover defender 90's. Looks like you are doing some nice work on it.

Love it. There are certain cars that just do it for me. That is one, along with the 03-04 Terminator Cobra because they can be such sleepers for the unsuspecting  If I'm not mistaken that is an LS motor? Tune that b1tch up to about 600HP.....

Nice. Easy enough to repair despite the age due to parts availability. Not a depreciating asset. Smart move.

And exactly what I'd expect you to drive.

wife drives a '13 Equinox 4 banger baby mobile.

I had an 09 GSXR 600 a few years back that I wrecked, a couple busted legs later no more go-fasts.

Who would have thought with your screen name

Yeah its heavy but my name is paying homage to my dad's old '76 K5 we used to have when I was growing up. Everyone always called it the heavy chevy because it always just sink in the mud but never got stuck. he had it on 37/12.5's and it was a horse. It eventually just got used to pull the boat down the street to the lake, literally 1/4 mile to the ramp. He sold it when we got the El Nino rains back in the 90's. It was stuck in 4Lo and wouldn't shift out of 2nd gear by then. he sold it thinking he'd never need it again... boy was he wrong the drought kicked in and we had to get another old beater to put the boat in the water. I'm not sure if he has any pictures of it, it was rust with a hint of blue though.

Yep, the LS3 motor.

Same as in the '08 - '13 corvettes but their's has different ECM tuning, intakes and their exhaust is different.

Anybody have a suggestion for a good driving road in Florida? Something twisty that isn't clogged with traffic.

If you find one let me know. I'm in the Orlando area and it sucks for driving.

Better watch the speed limit out there now. We don't have any curves but our parking lot at work is a great place for our Mustang to donate some rubber
