OK since we can't decide on a new HC, what are your expectations?

After reading the board over the last 3 months I don't see any one coaching candidate that would win a majority vote. So let me ask what your first, second, and third year expectations would be for a new coach.

I think he could have a decent first year. Depends on who we hire really

:deadhorse:T, buddy I was hoping to gauge the boards expectations as in wins vs. losses, offensive vs. defensive expectations. I already know you like Gundy, a few like Rich Rod., a lot of old farts are dreaming about SOS's return, Gary Patterson is too old at 55:facepalm: and Petrino is a scumbag, Shelly, errrr, Ox would love nothing more than Meyer to come back and on and on.......What is an acceptable first year record for you ? Regardless of the coach.

As long as it's a winning record and we're scoring points I'll be happy. I think with our schedule that's a good start to build on

Decent first year. Some drop off the second year and full speed ahead the third year.

Win the east, win the SEC, make the playoff, win the national championship and have a heisman winner. Not asking too much.

That's about where I'm at. 30 wins minimum in 3 year total AND at no point at or below .500 during that 3 year span.

With just how difficult our conference is,10 wins a year in his first 3 years is pretty lofty don't you think?

Anyone have ESPN insider?

@JeffBarlisESPN: Can the SEC East return to power? @TravisHaneyESPN says look no further than Florida's coaching search for the answer http://es.pn/1shoVJR

10 wins a year is the benchmark for a quality CFB program. Remember that teams will be playing as many as 15 games a season if they go all the way to the NC. Say we win the east 2 of 3 years that would be playing a total of 41 games assuming we don't go to the NC in any of the first 3 years.....30-11 would be a very good record but we deserve a coach who can be at a .700 or better winning percentage.

Rich Rod and Gundy are the two names he came up with as two that would be formidable. Also said on a scale of 1 to 10 other coaches ranked the uf job as a 9

I look for 7-8 wins first year, same for second, then start trending upwards to 9-10 then up from there. Gonna take a few years and recruiting classes to rid the program of Chump's stinch
