Its unreal y'alls assessment of Coach O.

They love this guy out here. He's a local "Down the Bayou" guy. He played college ball out here - NOT LSU.

You my make fun of him but he has these kids playing their hearts out.

And its dissengenuous that a school that had Butters as HC has room to talk.

I'm not sure why the video said there was profanity. No one understood what he said anyway

I have to think that with every last second FG win, the Lsu faithfull probably rejoice with the same equal measure of concern that we did when WM and JM were winning critical games. Deep down you know he’s not the answer, but you also can’t bring yourself to want to lose. So you just keep on wracking up a bill, with nights like last night being a signature part of the extension/raise argument.

Yep
Sometimes we are elated for the kids playing. Not the coaches or the university. They are the ones sweating in 100 degree heat. They may at times be lousy bastards but they are ours.

Y'all don't get it. You think I'm drunk?

The LSU faithful loves the guy.

You mark my words, these kids will crawl through swamps for this guy.

He not only wants to be Louisiana, he's a local.

We have Mullen and you want someone else.

You say he can't recruit and has done nothing at MSU BUT you know it may not be pretty when we hear cow bells...interesting

LSU fans are happy with "O" and yet you bash that.

Thank God Kelly went West.

That's what I tried noting with the OP. He's one of the guys.

The keynote native speaker near the end has got to be Orgeron's daddy?
Anyway, this is a fascinating 9 minute historical recording.

He is exactly the perfect moron for Corndog.

And Swamp are you an expert on "Moronic" behavior?

I love UF and grew up in FL BUT you will never find people that are more genuine then you get here in Louisiana. In fact, the "ELITIST" attitude that is now prevalent at UF gets a little much.

I'm actually not sure who you're rooting for on Oct. 6.

Brother MAKE no mistake, my grand kids call me "Papa Gator"

I wore Orange and Blue in the "LSU Student Section"

That said, I love the people, here corn dogs and all. (As a Food Scientist...It's not the corn dogs, it's the fry oil) The local Politics can be rough but the food is spicy and the women are spicier.

.....and the women are spicier.

As evidenced by the fact most “bayou” girls that rate over 3 on a scale to 10 are either pregnant or married by the time they’re old enough to put on lipstick. That’s not even touching on the decades of inbreeding that occurred before roads & levees came to deep southern Acadiana.

Orgeron is the typical South LaFourche product and has strong down-the-bayou support, but they’ll turn their collective backs on him in a New York second when he starts to lose games.

I agree with you about the people as a whole though, they’re some good folks who’ll treat you like family.......until you cross them!

Sounds pretty normal to me.

“Normal” based on what the Cajun version of “Mayberry RFD” is, not “normal” based on today’s sick version of the word.

It’s a society that until only recently (last couple of generations) was mostly closed. The main reason was lack of access to-from the areas & the bayous functioned literally as their version of “Main Street”.

Of course there’s always the bad part of any society, but it a smaller percentage of the population than you’d find most elsewhere IMO.

If you break their trust, the movie Southern Comfort isn’t really so much fiction.
