If the Patriots had to use "regulation inflated" footballs the 2nd half, the Patriots still scored 24 points thereafter.
So it cannot have determined their winning, as the Colts lost that game all by themselves - 7 points.
It's stupid for the NFL to have teams not using the same balls and to not assign a whole new official to
handle those balls.

Suspicion of a team being able to "cheat" going into a great Super Bowl matchup is a crying shame.

The ref is handed the ball after each play, so that liar Goodell was in on the fix too. Kraft probably paid him. The Seahawks will have their tire gauges ready to stop that damn cheater Belichic and now that the Patriots have to play with a properly inflated ball, Seattle should win by at least 30 points. Knowing how Cheatin Bill operates, he has probably read the rule book again and has some new trick up his sleeve. It's just not fair. The Ravens deserved to be there.

did the refs even check the footballs before the game...actually check the pressure? Or did they just like at them and say they are ok?....They have done these checks so many times...perhaps at times they really don't do a check and just ok them...and this time it backfired?

The "genius" Bill Belichick and "Top Gun" Tom Brady have lost two Super Bowls in a row. They're matched up against a team that is vying to tie their record of winning two Super Bowls in a row. As someone else mentioned this smacks of psychological warfare. The Hooded One is exploiting this controversy to motivate and focus the Patriots to a mindset of its us against the world. Do your job. Play your very best game as an individual and a team. This rising crescendo of "liars, cheaters' may just give New England the edge.

They claim an actual check is done about 2 hours prior to every game to OK the balls for use.

Tom Brady has won more division titles and more play-off games than any other qb in history. If you want to argue that he plays in a weak division, he's been to the SB 6 times, winning 3. If anything, he plays in a weak league. Neither he nor Belichic need to cheat, they are heads and shoulders above all the competition, including your favorite scrotum, The Bulbous Forehead.

But that doesn't mean they don't cheat, and in fact have previously have a history of cheating. To say they don't need to, doesn't mean they didn't.

By that same logic, just because they got caught cheating a decade ago, doesn't mean they're doing it now.

Not saying he did, waiting until there is a complete investigation. Also just because someone was last punished almost a decade ago (not quite a decade) doesn't mean they haven't been investigated for cheating since then.

But to go full defend/convict without evidence. What we do know if that 11 of the 12 balls were deflated below the minimum 11.5 psi, and the Colts balls didn't have that issue. As I stated earlier, it didn't matter in the win. But it wasn't the weather that caused it, so either they got 11 defective balls, or something happened.

Well I suppose they will be on equal footing then. Pete left LA just ahead of the sheriff just before going to Seattle. Jus saying.

I understand why the kicking balls are monitored, but who really gives a rats ass about the pressure in the passing balls? Let each team keep the pressure exactly where they prefer it. If they want to play with a flat ball, so be it.

The report from that bastion of reporting integrity, Blech Report, claims that it is a common practice for teams to adjust the game balls.

thats the claim...but was it actually done? sometimes when something is routinely done....it becomes a little lax an perhaps not a full check was down...one like ..."oh yeah they look good...lets go"

If that's the case, then the NFL should be penalized...not the Pats.

just read where the NFL is "looking at a locker room attendant"...of course the "experts" (non NE fans) are not surprised, and they knew this would happen all along. wondering how much money this attendant will be paid. etc....A lot of people won't be happy or satisfied unless Belichek and/or Brady are fined suspended or both

Because it makes it harder to make someone fumble etc. Supposedly the Patriots fumbles went down a lot this season and are lower than most everyone in the league now. I guess RBs can squeeze the ball a lot better preventing them.

It sounds like they have him on video taking them to another room right before the game started. I wonder what lame excuse they told him to give the investigators for that. I guess if NE is smart they will pay him off instead of risking him being canned and telling the league Brady had him doing that.

This just in....Bill Belichic is now being investigated by the NFL for paying their ballboy to over-inflate the kicking footballs used in the Green Bay-Seattle playoff game. As pointed out by some of the "experts", over-inflating balls by as little as one pound of air makes them obviously harder to handle than a Bill Buckner slow roller. Air pressure is now being named as the culprit in the monumental suckage performed by the entire Green Bay Packers organization last week.

So what? I just said BOTH teams can do it.
