As I mentioned in the Spurrier's thread, I'm heading to Gainesville on Friday, February 18, through Sunday, February 20, for my nephew's birthday celebration, etc.

Due to my own family's miscommunication, the AirBnB that we booked now cannot accommodate us for both nights that we planned on staying, and the other online options are slim pickins!!

Does anyone know or recommend a pet-friendly place that I should investigate?

We will be 2 adults, 1 teenager, and 1 chocolate lab (75 lbs.). Wanting to check in Friday, Feb. 18, and check out Sunday, Feb. 20.

Thanks!

Let the lab play in the water at Lake Alice. It’s a beautiful place.

I would never do that to my baby girly.

Although, she'd probably zip right over those reptiles without a blink. She is a master swimmer.

I remember seeing some girl with a little fluff dog playing next to the water, and you could see 3 gators all vectoring directly at her. I pointed it out and she quickly ran off.

From what I've always heard, gators are most attracted to the little WHITE floofs. (That's so racist.) :-)

They'd be way more challenged by this chocolate chunk...

Back to the issue at hand, though. LOL I need a place to stay. Does anyone even know an Extend-a-Stay type place that accepts dogs? I'm open to any suggestion and appreciate the help.

Did you try VRBO too? Some overlap but not always. Also, there are pet friendly La Quinta Inns. My SIL just moved across country with their Great Dane and stayed there.

I was going to post a picture of a Chinese restaurant but after seeing this picture, I just can't.

Who's a good boi? You're a good boi!

I did find some pet friendly hotel options now, after all. I guess it's been a while since I visited God's Country. I wasn't expecting that option. Thanks, though!

Most in the Hilton chain in Gainesville allow dogs. I know Hilton Garden Inn and Homewood Suites near 75 and Archer Road do.

I confess to having used a kennel over near Alachua as we were there for game weekends and were concerned about getting the dog outside and fed at normal times.
FYI - Gainesville does have several good dog parks. Just googled it and it’ll give you a list. Great looking Lab btw.
