I've never understood why they referred to him as Burt in "The Blind Side" and portrayed him as a bit of a dolt.

He wasn't the coach when The Blind Side took place. I'm not even sure if he was there when the movie was made. I think Ed Orgeron was the coach they referred to.

No. He was coach at Briarcrest High School. He later joined Orgeron's staff at Ole Miss while Oher was there. He even applied for the Memphis woman's basketball coaching position. If he had gotten that. None of us would probably know his name right now
