His music wasn't my taste for the most part but he certainly was a good musician who actually played multiple instruments and composed music as opposed to much of what goes for music today.

That sounded pretty "Get off my lawn" didn't it?

Anyone remember the lounge in Tallahassee called Big Daddy's? Not sure if it was a chain but it was way out on Appalachee Parkway.
I still remember going in under age and the first song I danced to was Little Red Corvette ...with some really crazy/jealous/controlling girl who used to date one of my baseball team mates.
That song always reminds me of how I dodged a bullet.
Thanks and RIP Prince

I thought he died years ago.

RIP

again

Around spring of 1984 before his movie was released, word got out in school(almost the end of my 9th grade year) that Prince died of AIDS. Of course there was no Internet access. We all relied on CNN and the local news back in the day.

Of course it was all a rumor and guys in the hallway screaming the same way Prince did in "When Doves Cry."

Morris Day still rules. Loved him in "Movin" and "Adventures of Ford Fairlane."

Always the showman, Prince absolutely blisters it in this one

RIP

Yeah, that says it all, doesn't it. And he could play several other instruments and wrote music for a dozen other bands.

Found out my aunt did a couple of Prince shows set up while working as a Stage Designer. She said she didn't have any conversations, but he would go with her and test every single instrument on the stage before the show. Ended up playing some solo stuff for the local crew while testing the instruments, and thanked them for all their help personally.

I heard Prince was a big fan of Ox's favorite car.

When I was young teenager, I thought the song was about a car. :lmao2:

Thanks for posting. Prince was certainly underrated as a guitar player--a skill that was unfortunately overshadowed by his brilliant vocals and compositional abilities.
